The people here are friendly enough, but their incompetency abounds. In a nutshell… Strike One: I needed some glasses pretty quick, and only purchased them here because I was told they had my prescription and could have the glasses ready in an hour. I went to try to find something to do in the mostly deserted Highland Mall. Meanwhile, the machine that cuts the lens broke one of my lenses, thus my glasses now would not be ready in an hour. OK, things break, I get that. But what ticked me off is that they knew I was waiting in the mall for these glasses, and they didn’t call me to tell me what happened. I found out after walking aimlessly around the mall for an hour, after which I went to the store where they then broke the news to me. Waste of my time. Strike Two: So now I had to wait«about a week» for the other lenses to come in. Frustrating but understandable. Over a week passes, I don’t hear anything. I try to call the store to check on the status of my glasses, no one answers, no answering machine, nothing. I call the next day, same story. Finally I try to optometrist next door who gives me a direct line. They answer, check on my order and say, «Oh yeah, they’re ready.» Really? You weren’t going to call and let me know? Strike Three: I go to pick up my glasses, peeved that I probably could have picked them up days earlier if someone had only called me. I try on the new pair of glasses and one of the lenses is blurry. I tell them this, they tell me it takes a few days for your eyes to adjust to them. I tell them I’ve been wearing glasses for over 15 years, and I can tell this is different than an initial adjustment period thing. They insist they’ve been wearing glasses longer than I have, and that I should just trust them, it’s an adjustment thing. I ask them to humor me and check the prescription. Lo and behold, the left lens was the wrong prescription. But I’m «in luck!» They have the other lens in stock and can have the glasses ready in — you guessed it — another hour of aimless walking around a deserted mall. My run in, run out, go home and be productive plans were nixed and I wasted another hour of my life in that mall. Needless to say, I won’t go back.
