Nice event! Kind of crappy venue. Lots of kiddo stuff(e.g., bouncy house, super slide, etc.), but that’s only at the front. The rest is made for grown up kids like my hubby and I. A small boat expo. BBQ competition: Got to sample one entries rib(YUM). A few food trucks — had a good chopped beef sandwich from It’s All Good Bar-B-Q. Live music; pedal steel — cool! TONS of vendor booths: from children’s dentistry to animal rescues and LOTS of shopping! Me happy! «Had» to buy a set of sheets(I know, right!), an adorbs cell phone«purse,» and some SPF from Hill Country Apothecary(support local). Beer tent with about a dozen local craft breweries. $ 10 for 10 tastings; some were pouring huge! Including our fav brew buds from @InfanousBrewery — didn’t even know they were going to be there. Me happier! Overall, a great way to spend the afternoon walking, talking, and gawking. Plus, it’s free!($ 5 parking on Saturday) TIP: Parking at The Backyard is horrendous!!! The grounds definitely need some work. Be sure to bring out the pickemup truck because driving through the«lot» is like going off-roading! My car could’ve never made. And, I suggest wearing sneakers because of all the unlevel ground: tons of dirt and large rocks about. No wedges ladies. Other than a few minor bumps(ha ha) Spring Fest is great way to start off the outdoor season! Have fun! Fido friendly.
