I was born and raised in Northern California. Left California in 1989 and moved to Guatemala where I met and married my wife Regina. We founded a construction company which primarily built housing solutions for the Indigenous population. The Guatemalan government signed peace accords with the Gorillas in 1996 to end the 35 year civil conflict. Through two separate internationally funded programs our company was the leader in executing the build out of approximately 35,000 housing solutions throughout the country.

In 2000 there was a change in Government and as a result the majority of the housing efforts slowed substantially. Due to the political unrest and a major increase in crime, which included kidnappings for ransome, my wife and I returned to the US to give our two children a safer environment. In 2003 we founded a furniture manufacturing company in Guatemala. I attended courses in North Carolina to become a master furniture builder. We opened distribution throughout the US. In
