I may be biased on this review considering it is 2 seconds away from our apartment and across the street. They have a pretty decent wine selection and they are giving Spec’s a bit of run for their money because they started doing liquor and wine tastings at the store if you want to try out some different stuff. The owners and staff are always friendly and can recommend some great wines, if that’s what you’re in the mood for. They are local store, so support local if you can!

I’ve never thought to review a liquor store but I’ve been annoyed by two different clerks here. its the only one close to our neighborhood so choices are slightly limited. i think ill drive elsewhere from now. one guy who i later found out was the owner tried to accuse me of buying for a minor because he asked me what i was looking for and i said i forgot what i was supposed to be getting. he then looked at me and said«so you are buying this for someone else then???» all sarcastic. i just looked at him and said«yes, expensive scotch for my step dad» tonight i went and they had a coupon for a circus I’m going to soon so as i was checking out i said oh cool whats this? and the guy behind the counter said«i don’t know! what ever it says its for!» these people are so rude and annoying.

Stopped to get cherry brandy for a black forest cake I was making. The lady was helpful, and I was kindly greeted by her and her mellow and sweet beagle named Maggie. Got out of there for $ 10. My fiancé went the other day and picked up champagne for a celebration — he paid the high end of what shops are charging for this same bottle at $ 40. We found it elsewhere for $ 30. Summation: good quick stop place, but not the cheapest around.

Came in because I prefer to support my local business. I needed Amaretto for a recipe, but did not want to use the expensive brand. The younger guy offered to help. Took me to the expensive brand the cheapest of which was $ 16. i spotted a Crème of almond, asked if that could be substituted and was promptly told no. When I asked«Isn’t Amaretto made with Almonds.?’ He again said«I’m not sure, but it isn’t almonds.» Went to Spec’s a mile away, got a large bottle of substitute for less than $ 5. Won’t bother to stop here again and the next time we go to Milano Café I’ll make sure to stop elsewhere for that bottle of wine too.

Usually like this place, but today the guy working there was a complete douche.

With it right down the road, I always can stop by on my way home from work if I’m feeling like I need a bottle of wine. It’s located in a small strip mall off of Southwest Parkway, which makes it easy to get in, get out. The other cool thing about King Liquor, as opposed to some other liquor stores on my way home, is they have a huge selection of plastic mini-bottles. This is great if you are filling a piñata with mini-bottles. Just remember that if you ever find yourself in that situation.
