We recognize that many patients will postpone routine dental visits because of a high level of anxiety, and if you suffer from high anxiety just thinking about dental care, guess what… you are actually quite normal. More than half of all patients are in this category and we can offer nitrous oxide with or without oral sedation (valium, xanax, etc.) to help put you at ease. Gentle care combined with nitrous oxide, oral sedation and headphones can greatly reduce the anxiety of the most fearful patients.

Our office staff has many years of helping and serving patients. We want your visit to be as comfortable as possible. Our diagnosis will be thorough, and it will be clearly explained without high pressure. We welcome second opinions and encourage them in large cases. When we recognize the need for referral to a specialist, my staff and myself will make available to you all the necessary information and assist in any phone calls. We will present multiple treatment options when needed,

History

Established in 1984.

We are a full service family dental practice located in the heart of Austin at 3800 Speedway (northwest corner of 38th Street and Speedway (see Directions link). Our office is actually a 1920’s Hyde Park home that was converted into a dental office in the mid 1970’s.

Great dentist, great staff.
I’m a walk-​in, new customer, visiting from Europe.
They visibly care about customer satisfaction, and are very clear in explaining wha’ts going on with your teeth. Equipement looks nice and clean, state-​of-​the-​art, digital imagery (pictures and x-​rays) so you can follow explanations on a screen. Team is efficient and warm. Cherry on top: there’s a picture of the sea on the ceiling to help you relax. I thought it was a nice touch.

Still coming here even though we’ve moved from the neighborhood. Once you find gold, you don’t leave it or lose it!
Dr Keith and his staff are still extremely sweet, attentive, caring, and friendly. He also participates in the Statesman’s Season for Caring program… AWESOME.
I love how thorough the cleanings and the post-​cleaning exams are. I feel 100% trust in what advice I am given and what treatments are recommended.

First time patient… life long dentist-​phobe.
After a decade in clinics (no insurance) I had come to expect cold, Mc-​dentistry
type of visit. Not the case with Dr. Kelly and staff.
Location has parking, is cozy and modern.
My wait was short, and after filling out paperwork, I was greeted by Hygienist Dan and Dr Keith. I needed Xrays, but after an exam, they decided to do only a few, to save me money and radiation exposure :) Naturally friendly banter and an actual interest in my story instantly relaxed me.
Cleaning was one of the most comfortable I have had as an adult. No joke.
Upon leaving, I was told ‘welcome to the family’.
Jeez, my old guy never even said goodbye.

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Keith’s for 12 years and always have great service when I go there. Alma works the desk and is very friendly. She greets you by your first name when you arrive. Melissa has been my dental technician for 12 years and she is very good. Dr. Keith treats every patient respectfully and he clearly cares about them as people. In addition, he is very skilled. I’ve had cleanings, fillings (new and replacements), temporary and permanent crowns, etc. He does great work! The turnover at the office has been minimal in the time that I’ve been going there and this is really important to ensuring an excellent experience for patients. I highly recommend Dr. Keith and his staff to anyone looking for a skilled, caring and friendly dentist.

I used to be terrified of going to the dentist and Dr. Keith completely changed that. He’s been my dentist for 4 years now and I couldn’t be happier with the treatment I receive from him and his staff every time I go.
Everyone is very friendly and caring at his office and they do excellent work. I’ve had experiences where other dentists want to do unnecessary procedures to run up my bill and I never feel that way here. Dr. Keith is honest and doesn’t want to drill into your teeth if it’s not needed.

I was not notified of the charges for the minor work I was having done until my appointment was over and the horrible woman at the front desk was hounding me for payment. It would have been nice to know that I was going to have to pay $ 200 for minor work at the time of visit.
Maybe I wouldn’t have had the work done or would have waited to a more opportune time when money wasn’t so tight if I had known. I gave her no choice but to bill me, which I did not receive a bill, but instead a phone call that was beyond rude. The she-​devil at the front desk started off the call with a condescending and rude tone, which turned into her interrupting me and threatening collections (please keep in mind the work was done just a few months prior, and I never received a bill — is it so wrong that I thought insurance was covering it???).
Not only that, but the website notes that if you were referred, both the referrer and referree get $ 20 off… apparently that is not the case and despite the site showing it incorrectly, I was not granted this $ 20.
What is with the horrible money-​hungry companies with no respect or customer service for their customers? Ugh. Screw MetLife too.

I have been going to Dr. Keith for over 10 years. Alma is the office mgr and she sets the tone for the staff: friendly, accomodating, patient, and professional. She always has a compliment for me or my children. As for Dr. Keith, what can I say except, «He makes the best TEMPORARY crowns ever!» My latest one lasted 2 years (I am just now making time to go get the permanent one). He’s a perfectionist and so kind and generous, too. I highly recommend, especially if you don’t have insurance; they’ll work with you.

I have never had anything but a top notch experience here– the staff is SO nice! I initially came here because I needed a teeth cleaning, and on my way to school the stars aligned and I noticed the stainless steel «DENTIST» sign outside the office. I’ve now been going here for almost three years, and even changed insurance companies in order to stay with this office. They get you in and out so quickly that you barely notice you were there, a bonus for anyone with a busy schedule!
