Very professional and prompt responses. Even though I was out of the coverage area (out of state), Josh went above and beyond to satisfy my every request. He gave very in-​depth instructions on measuring and mailed me samples to make a decision.
I went with 80% on the sides of the house and 90% on the front where I had most sunlight.
The turnaround time once my invoice was paid was surprisingly fast, about 5 days total including shipping time. The quality of the screens were exceptional and fit perfectly.
I could not ask for a better product or service. Also estimate calculator on website is perfect!!!

Used the site calculator to get an idea of cost. Josh called to discuss my questions and 3 days later came by for an official estimate. Super nice guy and estimate I got from site almost exactly what he quoted. Paid invoice then 2 weeks later screens were installed. They look amazing. Better than expected and quality product. Yesterday, Josh and his team installed solar screens on my neighbors home. (They look great by the way!) After asking Josh how much he would charge me to replace/​install a few screens that had fallen off my home, Josh, without hesitation, offered me the use of some refurbished screens that he had with him. I agreed and he and his team quickly installed them.
I’m blessed by Josh’s willingness to save ME money. He could have easily tried to sell me brand new solar screens for my entire home, or charge me more for the three screens I needed. Thankfully, he didn’t!

I highly recommend Josh Hobbs Solar Screen Services for three reasons:
1) Excellent product,
2) Outstanding customer service, and
3) Ease of doing business
Excellent product as he provided us two options to use to keep the heat out of the room. We selected the 90% solar screens for our master bedroom where there are no trees to shade it. Keep in mind we have 9 windows of which 5 windows facing the west side. We were suffering at night time when our a/​c could not cool down the room fast enough as the sun heat would radiate through the window coverings for a good six hours. After he installed the solar screens, our master bedroom totally changed from a sauna to a comfortable relaxing and inviting bedroom. We are now able to sleep at night with comfort.
Josh provided us excellent customer service during the time I inquired until the time they completed the job. They even responded to our emails during the weekends, even on Sundays. It was great knowing that they really wanted to make you feel that your inquiries were important as doing business with. I really thought his videos were very informative. So I knew what to expect. The best part is I did not have to be there for them to determine which windows I needed covered. They got my clear instructions on the billed invoice. Upon returning home, it was done that day and it did not show that they were even there. Meaning, they did not damage my flowerbeds around the windows.
As for the ease of doing business with Josh Hobbs, it was so easy. Just follow his website and do a preliminary estimate of what your job will be and pay a small deposit. He comes over and re-​measures your windows with perfection. He leaves two colored solar screen samples of either 80% or 90%, along with a pre-​selected window frame that work best for your home. If you don’t like what he selected then you can choose from his other color samples. I trusted his selection as he did an awesome job on my brother’s home.
I would certainly hire his company again and recommend them to our family and friends.

I hired Josh to put solar screens on every window on my home and he did a fantastic job. The process is simple:
— Request a quote (requires a small deposit) specifying which windows you want to have done
— Josh comes out and measures the windows to prepare a full estimate.
— Once you’ve paid the estimate, the screens are made (every screen is custom made), delivered, and installed. They even haul off your old screens if desired.
The only decisions you have to make are which windows to put screens on, what color screens/​frames, and if you want the 80% or 90% (referring to how much light is blocked). Josh left samples of each frame as well as the different materials so we could hold them up to the windows, etc. I preferred the 80% — the loss in visibility is almost unnoticeable, while with the 90% made everything look blurry. You can mix and match though, I have four windows with the 90% while the rest are 80%.
When researching solar screens, I happened to run into Josh’s YouTube videos which covered everything from installation methods to visibility demonstrations. It was pretty clear that he really knew what he was doing. His website also has loads of useful information.
So why get solar screens? For me, it was 2 reasons:
— MUCH cooler in the house. We used to put the thermostat at 75 during the day and the AC couldn’t keep up. Now we have it at 78 during summer days and the AC runs infrequently. The house is more comfortable and we’re paying less for energy, that’s hard to beat.
— The screens prevent people from seeing into open windows during the day. I used to keep the blinds shut all day, but now with the solar screens I rarely close them.
I love the screens. The house looks better and is more comfortable while saving money and energy.

Really easy to order solar screens. I never met the owners, but they did everything they promised. Paula helped me pick a color over the phone using Google Earth that matched our brick perfectly. We went with the chocolate which is not as severe as the black, but gets the job done as well. I paid online, and two weeks later they were in. The screens give us great privacy, cut the heat and help keep the windows clean from rain/​sprinklers. It seems like the AC is not turning on as often so I look forward to my next electric bill. We chose the 80% and the morning sun that beat into our dining room is now pleasant light. It was an easy and painless home improvement. A couple of days after they went in, we wondered why we hadn’t installed them earlier. Happy to recommend Josh and Paula.

Josh and Paula Hobbs are really and truly the very best you will find for installing solar screens on your home. Seriously, look no further! Their entire process is incredibly streamlined and thorough. You can easily do your own quote with the help of a worksheet on their website which allows you to budget for the screens and determine in advance what you are going to be spending. They will come do the official measurements, send you a very detailed work order, schedule the installation and perform the work … really all without you needing to be home or meet them in person. Although, I enjoyed meeting them a few times in person and chatting with them, what great folks!
We got a mix of 80% and 90% brown solar screens on every window of our home. We also had them make some custom screens for a porch we were building. It all looks amazing and really adds a clean, finished look to the house. Well over a year later and honestly they look like they were just installed yesterday. Even with all of these wind storms as of late, they look perfect — no damage or anything to speak of from the wind.
Before the solar screens, so much heat came into a few of our rooms through the windows and those rooms are now able to stay cool and feel comfortable. Low and behold we are using those rooms more! The air conditioner had no chance of keeping some spots of our home cool no matter how hard it cranked during the summer months. We are actually able to keep the entire home a few degrees cooler in the summer which has added to our overall enjoyment of our house as for years we always felt like the house just couldn’t cool down regardless of the thermostat setting.
