J & F Carpet

1 year ago: I work at a small school and we needed someone to come in and do some carpet cleaning one day. Not only do they do excellent cleaning, but I also was able to talk more about replacing carpet with them.
This year: We have replaced almost all the carpet on campus with J&F and cleaned many rugs and lots of furniture with them. I am happy with the ever consistent quality and attention to detail.
I also have had the pleasure of talking to much of the team. They are a family business that really knows how to work with the customer to make things happen. They were flexible with their schedule and made sure that we had what we needed. I also love the honesty when I brought up options of carpet vs VCT. Rather than do the up-​sell, they were honest and gave me the best suggestion for the floors that we were dealing with.
I will happily call J&F for any business or home related flooring needs. Great local business!

I purchase marine grade carpet and adhesive from this firm. Within a month, the carpet began to turn a whitish color. Within a couple of years it had completely disintegrated. I called and spoke with Edward about warrantying the carpet. He said he had to check with the manufacturer but never responded. I had to follow up a few times before he finally said that the carpet was one month out of warranty. It was less than $ 100 worth of carpet. If it was my business, I would have done whatever it took to make my customer happy. Edward does not subscribe to that philosophy.
I would not recommend this company.

Picked them out of Unilocal for a rental property. My Property Manager inisited the carpet was very dirty, it needed to be replaced so I started talking to them about options and about coming out to measure and give me a quote. Guys come out as promised and tell me that they *MIGHT* be able to clean it instead. What have I to lose, so I try them out for cleaning instead. Carpet comes out unbelievably clean. Saves me the trouble and cost of replacing it. Great work by them and saved me a bunch. They probably made a lesser amount of money from me on this but earned the right to be on the top of my list on my next carpet related issue.

We have had J & F Carpets annually replace 2 — 4 rooms of carpeting in rental property for 5 straight years. They are dependable, reasonably priced. and most of all honest as individuals and in their business dealings. I do recommend them to everyone I know in Austin!

This went well for me. I requested a day less than a week in advance and got it. They came on time, and finished in about an hour and a half. 4 rooms and 1 staircase for $ 115 seems like a fair price too!
