Our training is focused on training you and your dog in the comfort of your home, at your convenience. The training is tailored to each individual dog and person so you get the help you need.

Though we train all breeds, behaviors, and size dogs we only board tiny dogs– under 25 lbs. Your little darling will get the comfort of home while you are away from home.

History

Established in 2006.

The establishment of Happy Puppy Tutoring was, and is, the realization of a lifelong dream. By structuring the training to fit each dog, and bringing that training into the homes of my clients, I am able to provide highly effective dog training that is very convenient for my clients. With over 40 years of dog training experience you know that you and your dog are in good hands.

Happy Puppy Tiny Dog Boarding has come as a great additional service that I am very happy to provide.

Marilyn has been a life saver. I have a pit bull/​lab mix. Very strong and was pulling my arm out of socket when we went for a walk. I am not a novice dog owner. I have owned many dogs and breeds over the years but alas was not able to train this puppy. She showed me some training techniques that made a vast improvement immediately. We are still working on the leash training but now I can actually enjoy my walk with Gunther. Goes to show you that even humans can learn new tricks.

Marilyn has helped us enormously with our energetic, smart, willful, needy, and affectionate Yorkie puppy. She has guided us in all our training endeavors, and inspired little Jeff in one week to go into his crate quietly, which he never had done at nine months. He no longer barks unless he is telling us something, he sleeps nine hours a night, is much better at house training, and has kept his sweet rambunctious personality.
We are in our seventies, and are extremely grateful for this help.

My boston terrier POWERS had a class with Marilyn and he learned to rollover after one time! He is very smart and Marilyn is VERY good at training! He is much older now but still amazes everyone with the tricks he can do!

We feel so blessed to have had Marilyn recommended to us. Our English bulldog, Beryl, was snapping at our infant and we didn’t know what to do besides separate them. It was no way to live. After one training session with Marilyn we were able to see how smart our dog was and how with the right tools, we could once again be a family. I told Marilyn that she helped us learn to talk to our sweet girl. We learned how to communicate that we are in charge and how to reward her for being the good dog that she is. Since our lessons, we no longer have to keep Beryl separated from our daughter. Happy Puppy gave us the tools to be a happy family. I would HIGHLY recommend Marilyn’s services to anyone looking to re-​train themselves to be a more effective dog owner. :)

Marilyn is awesome! My Shih Tzu is a sweetheart, but being a rescue dog he can be a bit shy at times. Marilyn helped him come out of his shell. He also has stayed at her house with her «puppy pack» when I have gone out of town. We give her two paws up! :-)

Marilyn, of Happy Puppy Tutoring, is the place to go for dog training issues. Not only has she successfully taught my dog how to get over car anxiety (who knew?), she has helped many a friend and family member with their dog training issues. Whether you have a dog that is aggressive, needs to be better socialized, or if you want to teach it cool tricks, Marilyn can do it!

Marilyn came to our house and helped us with our 6 year old pit mix. Not only has the dog learned how to behave better in public, we taught her a BUNCH of tricks. See you can teach an old dog new tricks, thanks to Marilyn. The truth is, she really helped us get back on track with our behavior towards the dog and things are much better in our house.

Marilyn took care of our little girl dog Sandy while we went on our cruise. She will be 15 this month and needed TLC and she absolutely received from Marilyn. My wife and I have a energetic Carin Terrier, a Wizard of Oz dog, we took Marilyn’s Class to teach us how to treat and teach our dog. Wow she taught us so much in one class, our dog was doing tricks during the first class. After our dog Buster got done with the last class he was such a well disciplined and enjoyable dog to be with. I can tell you watching Marilyn working with many other dogs whether they are little or big, friendly or aggresive she is the answer to all of your dog needs. If you just need basic training or help with bad behavior she is the best trainer in the Austin Area! I would recommend everyone with a dog to give her a call, wow it is time well spent!
