Green Team Auto Detailing

CAUTION!!! I CANNOT RECOMMEND USING THIS SERVICE! This is by far going to be the strangest review I have EVER written. 100% true story. I have debated whether or not to write this review for the past month or so, because I have absolutely NO DESIRE to receive a response or hear from this company in any way, shape, or form (which given the craziness might very well happen), but then I decided I HAD to write it to inform other potential customers — particularly women.
THIS COMPANY HAS BEEN PURCHASED BY A HUSBAND AND WIFE TEAM, Denzil and Marie Pharreno. Even after months of being trained and working together with the previous owner Adam Stanley, they have no idea how to run a business, are very unprofessional, not well-​trained in auto detailing, and actually scary — explanation to follow.
When I first learned of the accusation it saddened me as I had such great experiences with the previous owner Adam. When I finally was able to reach one of the the new owners Marie, she told me they would honor a full detail that was owed to me by Adam… so I was initially pleased. However, that quickly changed!
First, they were very difficult to get in touch with to schedule an appointment. There voicemail does not even include the business name in it, but yes, I was calling the correct number. After several cancellations and reschedules due to weather, their bad scheduling, and admittedly a few reasons of my own, Marie finally provided me with a tentative date and time. She stated they could «probably fit me in the following Friday»” and implied she would follow-​up with me. Friday morning I awoke to realize there was a new message from 11p.m. on Thursday night (what?!) on my cell confirming my appointment for the next day!!! I called and stated that would be fine.
Arrival time was supposed to be around noon. Over two hours after the scheduled appointment I decided I had waited long enough, and honestly decided at that point I was so fed up that I did not want them coming to my home or touching my vehicle — EVEN FOR FREE — so I called to cancel — PERMANENTLY. The call went straight to voicemail, so I left I message. I also texted and sent an email. [In later correspondence I was told their cell phone had died (who doesn’t have a charger?); however, I received an email stating they were outside my home — huh?]
Thirty minutes later, I’m on a conference call at home, and the doorbell rings. It’s Denzil, the new owner/​operator. I can’t answer as my call cannot be interrupted and I had tried ever method possible to make sure they received my cancellation notice… so I did not answer the door. The doorbell at my exterior gate then began to ring about every 3 to 5 minutes. Then, the doorbell located on my front door. At this point, I was off of my call but still did not answer because I felt very «uncomfortable.»
55, yes, just under an hour later, the man incessantly went back and forth ringing both doorbells non-​stop. Now it was downright scary. To the point where I called my husband and almost ask him to come home and I had pulled out… let’s just say personal protection. Finally, I felt I had no other choice than to cal the Sherriff’s office. The officer arrived in a just a few minutes, but Denzil had just left.
Later that day I received an email from Marie apologizing for making me feel scared… so I assume the Sherriff may have seen the vehicle and stopped it or contacted the business? Again, very odd. All of it, very odd! Not a god experience at all.
I HAVE NEVER HAD SUCH AN EXPERIENCE! Why the borderline psychotic behavior? He wasn’t even going to get paid — anything more than a tip perhaps. I don’t think I will invite anyone to service my vehicle at my home again.
SECOND CAUTION: They have changed their name to GOOD SAMARITAN MOBILE AUTO DETAILING run out of Kyle, Texas.

DO NOT USE GREENTEAM!!! They are the worst service provider I have ever used. I bought two details and scheduled about ten days out for 9am. They showed up around 7pm and claimed that their boss over scheduled them. One of the cars was supposed to have the Platinum package including motor clean, clay bar etc which alone should take at least a half day. They washed both cars in the street and saturated the carpets but didnt suck out the water and days later when they dried they were still dirty. They couldn’t finish both cars and asked me to not drive the clean one and keep it in the garage but the next day they didn’t show up and they called and said that someone stole their equipment. The guys asked for a tip when they left and claimed that they were only paid $ 10 a car which is why they rush. I was a little shocked but gave them $ 20 to leave. The next day they called and said someone stole their equipment. They haven’t been back and it’s been almost a year. I wouldn’t let them touch my car as they really seem like thugs. Your car is a big investment so take it to a reputable place.

I bought a groupon and gave it as a gift, embarrassing mistake. They would not return phone calls made to schedule the appointment. I contacted groupon and they assured me they would take care of it but after several emails back and forth there was still no call from the green team. After the groupon expired I received an email from the green team saying it was expired andI could pay full price. Done with green team, done with groupon.

I bought two Amazon Local vouchers for Interior Detail/​Hand Wash & Wax the first week of May 2013. I immediately had my car done and got it scheduled up fairly quickly, had two young guys (college students) come by to do the work and they did what I’d consider a reasonable job. The car was clean and waxed, the interior looked great initially but within a few days, the black plastic had some white residue start showing up which I had to clean off (used Meguiar’s wipes). There were several other things that I’d expect to be done if I was paying full price for a $ 200 clean/​wax/​detail service (air vents still had some dust on them, grooves around the shifter inset still had dirt, bottom of the cup holder dirty, brake dust & dirt around the lug nuts, didn’t flip the back seat down to properly vacuum the hatchback area, dirt in the door pouches, etc) — this was maybe a 3 star job considering I only paid $ 100 (not counting tip).
It is the 2^nd Amazon Local voucher that earned Green Team Auto Detailing/​Adam a single star. I had four appointments to get our other vehicle done and after the appointment had been scheduled for weeks, anywhere from a week before to an hour or two after he was supposed to be here, he’d «cancel». The reasons: (1) had surgery two days prior, didn’t cancel, emailed me with that reason after I called leaving a voice mail saying «when are you going to get here»; (2) he scheduled me on a day he is working in another part of town; (3) accidently scheduled me during finals week because he thought the semester ended a week earlier; (4) he quit due to back injury from car accident on ¹¹⁄₂₅ (Adam told me this on ¹²⁄₁₆ for a ¹²⁄₁₈ appointment. Because of my prior experience, I had checked with Adam on ¹²⁄₉ to make sure we were still good for 12/​18, this is two weeks after his «back injury/​car accident»).
Well, Adam said he quit a couple days ago but his phone number is still listed on the web page. He says some other person (Mae) owns the company and she will be taking over scheduling and he gave me another phone number to call. If the 512−216−4250 number continues to be used or if Adam is still involved with Green Team, then this was just another line of BS.

Note that while I’m having all this trouble trying to get my work done for an Amazon Local deal I bought in May 2013 — I’m seeing Green Team make additional offerings on Group and Living Social before they’ve even finished honoring prior deals (see other reviews).
Fortunately for me, Amazon Local promptly refunded my money for this 2^nd voucher I couldn’t use. I can’t say enough about the great customer service Amazon always provides just like I can’t say enough about the complete lack of customer service from Green Team Auto Detailing.

Three days later, I get this email from Adam (guess he didn’t quit Green Team after all):
«This is Adam. I have resigned from detailing right now, and cannot do any labor until further notice from my doctor. I have three bulged discs, 2 herniated discs, and 2 torn capsules just in my neck. Mae is the owner, and is supposed to be contacting everyone. If she hasn’t please inform me. I will be more than happy to issue you a refund for any inconvenience because you’ve been rescheduled more than once. I apologize for this. if you have questions or concerns, please contact me directly through this email, or my personal phone number. 512−56x-xxxx. Thank you and Merry Christmas»
My response was «Amazon Local gave me a refund on ¹²⁄₁₇. We’re done.» To which, Adam provided an excellent example of his Customer Service 101 skills:
«I actually seen that you left a bad comment on Unilocal.Mae is my girlfriend and owner of the company that is her personal phone number I gave for you to call. The 216 number is the company telephone number. I don’t appreciate the negativity and you could have personally called me to talk to me. In my opinion, it was a very cowardly thing to do when you didn’t have your facts straight and not even call me to talk man to man about the situation. We would have took care of you, and we would have issued you a refund. Amazon works with us, so in order to give a refund, we approve them as well. I’m sure Mae was the one who approved your refund. I didn’t personally do your car last time, but again, you could have called and I would have sent the people working at the time to redo your car to your standards.»
Dude, why would I call you? You quit, you told me to call someone else, I got a refund and YOU’RE FIRED! Let it go, leave me alone, we’re done, go away.

I had a living social deal so I gave them another try. The owner was unhappy with my negative review, and asked me to change it. I said it spender on how well the next service went and if they kept to the tie.
The wash itself was very good, and this time they arrived within the agreed time window. It’s a service for people who are flexible and willing to wait a couple of weeks to get on the schedule. Once they can get to you, the quality is good.

They did a great job on my two cars. I will use them again. Adam kept me advised of his schedule all the way through the process.

Took a week for them to return a phone call and tell me to schedule an appointment on line. There was nothing available on line. Took several weeks to get back with an appointment in
which they canceled it 30 minutes after their schedule time to arrive.
They did not offer to reschedule since I had a living social voucher.
Very Bad Business Practice!!!

I echo the other poor reviews. I purchased an AmazonLocal voucher and attempted to schedule an appointment prior to the voucher’s expiration. Green Team would not honor the voucher. I am in the process of getting a refund and would encourage you to avoid this company. If you do purchase a voucher, schedule an appointment immediately, as they claim to be booked months and months in advance.

I too purchased a Livingsocial deal they won’t honor due to scheduling issues. You can’t get anyone on the phone, and you HAVE to schedule online. I tried twice to schedule without success. Seems like bad management and bad business to me. It’s a shame.

I will never know how good or not good the Green Team Auto Detailing service is. I purchased a Groupon for their services. With more than one week left before the Groupon expires, I tried to schedule an appointment. I was told they have no appointments until after the expiration and furthermore that they would not honor the Groupon after its expiration.
I’ve contacted GroupOn Customer Service and they’ve taken care of the problem for me by refunding my money. An interesting comment by the GroupOn Customer Service representative was that they should’ve honored the GroupOn beyond the expiration date due to scheduling issues. However, it sounds like i am no the only one affected by this.
This is just bad business.

Nice job on our Range Rover & Land Rover. Fine scratches on my 6 yr old LR3 were polished out much better than I expected, and both (dark) cars are clean & glossy. Adam and another girl came out and were very nice to deal with. Just to be clear– I bought a $ 39 Living Social exterior only detail. I would rate even higher, but until they actually arrived, the earlier missed/​confused appts (on their part), and inconsistent communication were disappointing, inconvenient, frustrating. Seems they had trouble hiring reliable employees & they’re working hard to now be Customer Service AND Mobile Detail Team. So, they do good work, just know that the mobile appointment times are ‘loose’. I imagine they’ll try to improve their communications process, as they’re aware it’s not ideal. Overall– good work, not dishonest, just experiencing some growing pains.

Cleaning a car right can be tricky. It takes far more than giving it a good wash. Sometime there are stains that won’t come off easy and then we have that dirty, greasy interior that needs more than a good vacuum job. So I called these Green team guys without expecting much cause I had not so great experience before but they came pretty much at time they promised and gave it a good three hours of inside out detailing. Once they are done they invited me to take a look and I liked what I saw. I have had a much more expensive job done at a fancy shop but their work was almost as close for half of what I paid earlier and that’s why I called them for my other cars. What I like more about them that they don’t leave until I am satisfied and get the work done the way I like. Good job guys :)

These guys truly deserve a 5 star rating. I haven’t been able to clean my car for more than 5 months (imagine how filthy that was) and after they were done with it, my car looked brand new. Their pricing was pretty good too! Highly recommended!
