Fresh & Fruiti Frozen Yogurt

I really hate giving a mom and pop business such a bad rating but this place was just not pleasant. The employees never greeted us when we walked in and when we asked if they had sample cups one said yes while the other said no. They thought this was hilarious. I had to ask them again if they had cups or not with a more assertive tone and then one finally grabbed a cup and gave us one each. They proceeded to gossip amongst one another and then were snickering at all the customers. The temperature inside the place was way too hot (probably 80 degrees or so) and the ambience is really not that great. The flooring and walls are such that you feel like you are in a bathroom. You can’t carry a conversation because the echoing is so bad.
The flavors of the yogurt were pretty good but nowhere near comparison to Yogurtland for example. The toppings were seemingly fresh but who cares? By the time you sit down with your yogurt, you aren’t even in the mood to have a treat anymore. I am so sad for this place and hope the owners get to the bottom of this because if they don’t. they might be in trouble. :(
If my Lakeway friends wanted to go here. I would suggest another place but if they insist I guess I would try it one last time. sigh*

When you go somewhere to eat not only the food and service are taken into consideration but the ambiance is also important. In this Yogurt shop… it’s the feeling of a kindergarten. when I was there a guy comes into the place more concerned about his cell phone than the antics of his two little girls that wanted to stand in the way playing with the yogurt machines, messing up the toppings bar and then proceeding to move furniture around and stand up on chairs. All while this guy stares at his cell phone, and the two girls behind the counter watch this going on and say nothing. If I wanted this type of atmosphere… I would get my yogurt to go hang out at the nursery school down the street. I have pictures… but Unilocal doesn’t let you post pics. I will not go back. The place up at the Galleria is much more civilized.

This review is after my third and last time to visit Fresh & Fruitti. The store is clean and the frozen yogurt tastes good.
First visit: never greeted and during the checkout process eye contact was never made not only was eye contact not made but there was no verbal communication besides the price to pay. The two staff members were in a conversation with each other the whole time we were in the store.
Second visit: unfriendly service. Watched the staff close the store 10 minutes early and turned away an elderly couple who arrived 5 minutes before the posted closing time.
Third visit: never greeted. We were told to re-​use the sample tasting cups. Girls working there gossiped throughout our visit.
Each time had to ask for a sample cup.
Will look for a better place to next time.

This is an excellent shop! There are delicious flavors! Especially the birthday cake flavor! The fruit is always very fresh and it is a great price! Great place! I highly recommend going there.

Great clean and friendly place. The owner and staff are awesome. Good selection of yogurt flavors. No artificial colors. I love it!

Great service and yogurt. I love coconut! this place is far less crowded that the one in the Galleria and it’s fantastic!

Self serve and lots of toppings

Have been here several times, more recently with a friend who exclaimed «euro tart? I think I was married to her». Sorry, I digress, but I had to share because it cracked me up. Anyhoo… The store is clean, the service is consistently friendly no matter who is there and I love their frozen yogurt (especially the euro tart). Just one tip, if you’re not crazy about kids avoid after school hours. Does that make me a terrible person? Oh well…

Let me start by saying that I eat yogurt AT LEAST 5 times a week. I have tried most of the yogurt places in the Austin/​Lakeway area. I was excited to see that Fresh and Fruiti was convenient on my route, but very disappointed by a few things. I have now been there 4 times. Not ever have they offered me a sample. Even one day I asked when I had my neice with me and they looked at me like I was insane. This is rare for a yogurt shop. Second thing is the texture of their yogurt is different. It’s almost as if the machines aren’t cold enough? It just seems more like ice cream than yogurt in texture AND calorie content.
So these are the biggest reasons that I will not return. I was SHOCKED by the price each time I’ve been there. Be sure to check out the Nutritional Information as well and then at different yogurt locations… Fresh and Fruiti more than double in calories of other shops with the same flavor. I love to eat yogurt because it’s a healthy snack and DONT want to gain weight.
So in a nut shell. Their prices and CALORIES are double of other yogurt shops. Maybe they think they can get away with this bc their aren’t many choices in Lakeway, but for me, no thanks.

I popped into this new cute yogurt shop today and am happy to say Yay! I’m a fan. The shop was super clean, employees very friendly, all the fruit looked very fresh with a good selection of yogurt flavors and 1 sorbet. The guy explained that the permanent flavors are chocolate, strawberry, vanilla and tart and rotate the other flavors. Today the other flavors were green apple, mango, peach, sugar free cheese cake and a few others.
This is another one of those serve yourself places so I got tart as the main flavor with strawberries and blueberries with some bite size samples of some of the other flavors. I am not a huge fan of flavored fro yo but I liked the peach. I’ll stick with tart here unless they rotate in my very favorite flavor green tea.
Note to owners: Put green tea as one the permanent flavors and I will be there once a week!
