David at Fortress is awesome! He installed three new bluetooth locks for me, re-​keyed a bunch of stuff and swapped some handle sets so that I could have some interior locking closets. His ideas about how to achieve that efficiently (re-​using hardware I was going to throw away) saved me time and money, and I appreciated his advice and guidance on those matters. He was clearly knowledgeable about the latest bluetooth and keyless technologies. So great to have such a friendly, knowledgeable and capable service person of any kind! I will use Fortress again — and ask for David.

David was excellent! SImple problem — door not locking. Instead of trying to sell a new lock assembly, he pointed out that the door jam needed drilling out deeper for it to secure properly. He did it in a flash, cleaned up his mess and tightened the door handle. Excellent service! Thank you

I highly recommend this business for any of your security needs. You need a business that you can trust when dealing with security issues in your home. I had this business install different security systems in my house and I’m glad to have made the right choice. They are one of the few honest contractor businesses out there. I had one small problem in their visit and the manager of the business took care of it as soon as possible and for that I appreciate their work ethics and customer service. I wish more businesses are like that…

I was in a bind on a Friday afternoon and needed a door access lock installed by Monday. David with Fortress saved the day! He showed up bright and early Saturday morning and stayed until 7:30 pm until the job was done. Very professional and extremely helpful. I will definitely be using them again…

I got locked out of my house on a Saturday morning with nothing but my phone. The rest of my family was out of town for the week and suggested I call a locksmith to help me out. I called a few different locksmiths in the area, but no one answered… Despite claiming to be a 24 hr business… I called Fortress and they answered right away. They didn’t have anyone working that day, but they were able to find someone to help me out within 30 minutes. The locksmith who helped me out was David Manning. He was very friendly and fast, and he even created me a new front door key since my family forgot to leave me one. All in all, I was very pleased with the service, and I’ll be calling Fortress Lock, Safe & Security for any of my future lock and security needs! Thanks David!

Very prompt, fast, quiet, and courteous. Needed lock changed overnight, even though it might disturb neighbors in our multi-​unit building, but the tech’s loudest noise was the quiet beep of the alarm on his truck. My cat didn’t even run. Took the locks down to his truck to rekey in order to not disturb neighbors and was done very quickly. Recommend Fortress highly, again — prompt, quiet, fast, and courteous.

It was after 10 pm and I needed my front lock changed before renters moved in the next day. The lock we installed wouldn’t work so I called Fortress and they were fast and friendly! The locksmith was out to my house in 30 minutes. He was knowledgeable and well prepared and after about 10 min was done! Where I love it is hard to get service, much less good service, thanks!

I had just gotten done fishing at Lake Austin and was about to leave, when i realized my keys were locked in the car. I thought i was going to be stuck for hours. I called fortress and Jon, the owner, showed up within ten minutes, and got my vehicle unlocked in no time. I recommend Fortress Lock Safe and Security to anyone in need. One of the only times i called a locksmith and didn’t feel ripped off. A+++

I needed a lock changed quickly following a security scare., and emailed Fortress in the middle of the night. The owner, John, called back first thing in the morning and set up an emergency appointment for that afternoon. Not only is his work impeccable, but he is an incredibly knowledgeable and kind person. He gave me a lot of invaluable tips about safety and protection, and took his time in order to do a meticulous job. I would call Fortress again for this type of work in a heartbeat. I cannot recommend this business highly enough.

I cant say enough. Fast, friendly, fair. I lost my house key and it was FREEZING out. Fortress Lock Safe and Security got to my house quickly and made me feel like less of an idiot. John was honest and fair with pricing– he got me into my home and re-​keyed the door within a matter of 10 or 15 minutes. Such a nice guy too. I STRONGLY recommend this service!

I had a Sentry Safe that decided to stop opening right when I needed my passport. Upon doing some research on the internet, I came to learn that this is a common issue with that product. When I contacted John, he knew all about it, was ready to fix it on the same day, and was even willing to come to my place after hours to make sure it got done. I ended up getting lucky and the safe magically decided to open before John’s arrival, so I canceled the appointment, but I felt that the interaction I had with him (plus the fair price he quoted me) warranted a positive review on Unilocal.If I ever need a locksmith, I’ll be calling Fortess.

Top Notch service, honest, on time and reliable. I called Fortress on Monday, had the work done on Friday and slept knowing my apartment was safer the same night. I’d highly recommend this company for home owners, apartment renters and business looking for an honest quote, solid work and a company with experience in security systems.

After calling many companies I got solid quotes, which turned out to accurate when the job was complete. The locksmith was friendly and quick!
I even had one of the other companies try to call back and say they were on their way. I never set an appointment with them… I had asked for their availability on a certain day. Hmmm.

GREAT! GREAT! GREAT! — My friend dropped his keys in Lake Travis Friday Night, Memorial Weekend. We did Google Search for Local Locksmiths to rekey and placed numerous calls. All the co’s we called said $ 75 – 100 to come out and labor is additional but no one would tell us how much labor to rekey and they new year, make and model of truck (someone that does this for a living should know how long). We finally came across Fortress. The guy met us within an hour of our call — had the new key made in less than 30 mins only charged to remake the key. FANTASTIC — FAST — FRIENDLY all at a cost that doesn’t leave you feeling like you need a tube of Vaseline. THANKS FORTRESS — I’ve already recommended you to everyone at work and your magnets are displayed on several refrigerators. DID I MENTION THIS WAS A HOLIDAY WEEKEND AND HE DIDN’T TAKE US TO THE CLEANERS.

He came out and replaced our smoke alarms throughout the house.
