Factory Mattress – South Austin

We had great service. No pushy sales just a nice guy really trying to help us find the right one. I believe our sales rep was John and he was awesome. Purchased it Sunday afternoon and it was delivered on time the next day. They called like they said they would and showed up at the earlier part of the time frame. The delivery guys were very nice. I highly recommend them.

Out of all the places I’ve shopped for my mattress this was the most helpful, honest and clean. I didn’t mind laying on the mattresses to try them and the sales guy put zero pressure on me to buy or upgrade. I’d recommend this place to anyone looking for a new mattress.

Very pleased with my new mattress and my experience here.
When I walked in, I had no idea what I wanted but Robert helped narrow things down and explained the options well. He was very patient and not pushy. I went in three times that week just to make sure it was the best fit. I know I got a great deal and was able to get it delivered the next day (WOW!).
Would recommend this place to anyone losing sleep on an uncomfortable mattress! It’s also pretty cool they are locally owned.

Could not have had a better experience! Robert was so helpful and nice and made the process of buying a mattress very easy. I can not say enough how pleased I am with my purchase and that was all thanks to Robert. My mattress was delivered the next morning and in no time at all, was set up perfectly. Even took my old mattress so I didn’t have to deal with that! Highly recommend this place and Robert’s amazing customer service.

Jon was very informative about dust mites, I went home and threw away all of my old pillows with gloves and a mask on. Hehehe Also, Nick from the warehouse was super helpful and they had everything ready for me when I showed up. Overall I had an awesome mattress hunt experience and am now sleeping on my new soft pillowy cloud.

What a pleasant experience! Who knew that spending thousands on a new bed could hurt so little? Jon was the best. He answered questions, listened to our needs and wants and gave us ALL our options, Never pushed, never rushed. We could not have been happier. Delivery was the next day and the delivery guys were on time and very professional. Quick and simple. I highly recommend Factory Mattress at the Brodie Lane location (even sent a nephew who was shopping for a guest room bed there the same weekend!). THANKS JON!

Amazing customer service! Robert was so helpful – we weren’t sure what we wanted, what our price range was… or basically ANYTHING! He helped us find a mattress that was the perfect middle ground for me and my husband (I like firmer, he likes softer). No pressure, no sales pitches, just straight forward facts about each mattress we tried. Through process of elimination we wound up with a Sealy that we are both super happy with!
I really appreciated that the emphasis was on which mattress was best for us, not which cost the most or what was on sale. This is not to say price wasn’t important to us, because it certainly was, but we were able to find what was the best fit for us then move onto the dollars and cents. It just worked out perfectly that what we both wanted and loved was in the middle ground as far as pricing goes and we got a great deal.
I’ve been to other mattress stores and have felt pressured and followed and just straight up uncomfortable… I mean, come on, you’re throwing yourself onto mattresses the whole time… laying down, getting into the «sleeping» position… just kind of awkward to do in front of strangers! This was a completely different experience and Robert was super respectful of our space. Could not have been a better experience!

Jon was very kind in helping us find a new bed, he showed sererval different options in our budget and helped us find the perfect bed. Glad good customer service still exist in some places.

Bought a new mattress this weekend from Robert. He was no pressure and very helpful. The overall experience was painless and quick.

Pros: I like our mattress and feel that we got it for a good price with minimal hassle. Robert was a huge help to us at the store without being pushy and if I were writing this review solely based on him it would be a 5.
Cons: The delivery men were horrific. I truly wish we had not elected delivery. They were disrespectful and incompetent. They delivered the wrong bed, then left us with the wrong bed, then called to say they had the right bed and on their second trip up yelled at my dog. Both of my dogs were in their crates and one of them got anxious with all the people coming in and out of the house so he started barking. He was zero threat to them (he’s a 12 pound yorkie in a crate, c’mon guys). It was a stressful situation and it was not worth the $ 59 + tax fee to have to deal with that behavior.

Went to about 5 – 7 mattress stores around town and this was by far the worst experience.
When I walked in, the sales guy gave me the typical hello to which I politely replied. He asked how he could help — I said I was just looking for now and would let him know if I had any questions, thank you.
He then began following me around the store, asking me all sorts of questions, one of which being what I did for a living. I was vague with my answer — that info is personal and not relevant — to him or ANYONE I just meet. He sneered and made rude commentary under his breath.
He continued to follow me around the store, this time asking me what other mattress stores I had checked out. Again — none of your business, irrelevant and no, we’re not having this conversation. Once again, I politely told him I did not need his assistance but would let him know if I did.
I continued to walk around the store — entering the more expensive section. He made a rude comment about how those mattresses would be out of my price range. Oh really? As I hadn’t provided him with a budget, I’d love to know where he came up with this idea. I ignored him.
Clearly not taking the first 234 very obvious hints, he then proceeded to try and pressure me into buying a mattress that night, when I had been very clear on multiple occasions that I was only browsing and not at all looking to purchase that evening.
What?! Are you kidding?!
Made a beeline to the door and never returned again. Worst customer service from all the mattress stores I visited. Ended up purchasing my mattress from the online W Hotel store and it was a breeze.

We’d been told at another store that the mattress we wanted was at a set price and no one else would beat it. But we came to Factory Mattress and Johnny «Johnny Mattress» sold us the same bed for $ 200 less, free delivery and mattress cover at cost. We were in and out in minutes and can’t wait for our new bed next weekend! Awesome experience :) happy customer.

Excellent customer service! I bought a mattress that was supposed to come with a Best Buy gift certificate and for some reason I didn’t receive it in my email… guessing it went to Spam and I couldn’t find it! Regardless, I spoke with Mark and he got back to me very quickly and followed up the next morning saying he’d handled everything and would have Best Buy reissue the certificate right away. Even though it was probably my fault for missing it, he was extremely polite and friendly and did not make me feel bad or inconvenienced for having to do this. Thanks for the excellent customer service!

The husband and I finally found a mattress we both like. Watch out world, I’m pretty sure that’s a sign of the apocalypse.
Husband would be happy sleeping on rocks, whereas I’m a cloud girl myself. In the last year, we have tried (and returned) a Tempur-​pedic and a Sleep Number bed. We were once happy on a pillow top, innerspring mattress, so we decided to give those another go.
We shopped at a nearby competitor, where we have purchased 2 mattress in the past, but weren’t really sold on anything. I found a mattress I kinda liked for $ 3k, but that’s quite a bit to spend on a bed that we’ll likely replace in 7 – 8 years and I only kinda liked it — I wasn’t in «OMG! GIVES IT TO ME NOW» love with it, so we kept looking.
We walked in and met with Robert. He asked us some questions and had us lay on several types of beds. At some point during this process, my allergies kicked in (Oh hey, thanks Cedar!) and I had to leave — right that moment. I darted to the car for tissues and the Husband wrapped things up with Robert, thanking him for his time and help and getting his card. We took off to Target to get me some allergy meds and decided to return again another day.
Several weeks went by. The pickup date for the Sleep Number bed was looming and unless we found something quick, we’d be sleeping on the floor in a few days. It was time to wrap up shopping and pick something. We headed back to see Robert, who happened to be there — thankfully! He remembered us, and the beds we had enjoyed. I was so out of it on the allergy day that I wanted to start over a bit and test some more. He was very patient with me as I made my way through their innerspring mattress selection again. I narrowed my selection down to 2 mattresses and the Husband happened to like one of them quite a bit. WINNER! The mattress happened to be on sale by quite a bit. SWEET! And it was delivered the next morning. EVEN BETTER! No nights on the floor for us! Hooray!
We’ve had the mattress for a few weeks now and we still like our bed very much. The Husband has declared Factory Mattress as our new first stop when bed shopping. He was so impressed with the service and price.

Too cool great deal on Mattress and Box spring they will be delivering it for free on Sunday and that is great.
Sales Man John was great showed us the best and the differences in mattress and got us a great deal on one. .
Can not wait till Sunday with my new Bed and keep my head cool pillow so I will sleep like a baby.
Because this month is the best time to buy beds, linens and new cars no thank you i will not buy another car I love mine.

Just bought a box spring and frame, but I had a good experience here. Service was quick, friendly, and professional and price was reasonable. The showroom seems to have a nice selection but I can’t speak for prices there since I wasn’t really shopping. The carry a lot of Tempurpedic.
Parking /​Loading situation seems pretty nice to me, they have good access on both sides of the store.
