F & F Fruit Cups

I walked in and was punched with a foul smell. I looked around and thought hmm maybe I should leave. The lady had already greeted me and was standing waiting for our order so we stayed.
The menu is huge, I went straight for a fruit cup and seen they have corn cups. I got the smallest of each. It was under $ 7.
It was ready very fast. When I got back to work I took the lid off the corn for a Unilocal pic. The corn had a thick wall of cheese covering it. The aroma punched me in the nose and I attacked! I didn’t even get to take the picture of the beauty before the beast got to it. It was delicious. I love that they actually mix the ingredients instead of having it all sitting on top and no goodness half way through the cup. They did the same with the fruit cup, the chili was evenly distributed. The fruit was fresh and I was excited about the fresh coconut! It was a real treat.
The lady didn’t speak much English but she was nice and tried.

This place is a hidden Treasure. So good. And the staff is so nice. I had a Mango/​Pina Fruity Raspa and everything was evenly proportioned. The taste was amazing. I will be coming back here! Looks like F&F my new Mexican delights pit stop when I need my weekly fix! Thank you ladies, keep up the good work!

The best fruit cups I’ve had thus far. They have everything you could ever want PLUS customizable fruit arrangements for half the price of edible arrangements. Fruit is fresh

This place has all of the traditional Nexican carny food under one roof! Fruit cups with chili and lime, Mexican style corn on the cobb or cup, candied apples, shrimp cocktails, strawberries and cream, Mexican candies, incredible Topo Chico creations… freakin’ banana splits could have come right off the cart in Juarez…

Tons of options. Super cheap. The place is a tad bit small but definitely a hidden treasure.

Great place. By far my favorite dessert spot. You can go really healthy or really unhealthy all up to you. Not too pricey and delicious fruit. There are not a lot of seating options but its so good it makes no difference just grab a spot on the bench or head out. It will be worth it I promise

We went straight here after our Austin 70.3 race. I wish my stomach could of liked more flavorings, but it wasn’t going to. So, I got a simple blended smoothie.
The rest of their menu looked awesome. Wish I had more time to try more things out.

I was craving a Mexican prepared corn. I think it’s Parmesan cheese they use and that’s not what I’m used to. I’m from Laredo and Mr. Corn has the best corn in a cups, with their own chile salsa recipe. The place seems cluttered too. I won’t be going back.

Fresh, fresh fruit in a cup. Smoothies, fruit cocktail’s, juices, fresh waters, ice cream, malts. A great verity of healthy snacks.

My favorite place to get elotes! The area that is in is pretty sketchy, but the fruits and elotes are superb!
I love, love, LOVE elotes. I come here so often, the older guy at the counter remembers the way I like it. that or maybe because I’m literally the only asian girl that ever goes there! I usually get the large elotes in a cup, mix (white and yellow corn, white corn is more traditional), and ask for a little bit of chili powder and cheese (depending on who makes it, its usually too much powder or too much cheese). You definitely won’t regret trying it, it’s way better than the ones at fiesta!
The fruits are also fresh, therefore it’ll take a while for them to complete your order. I love coconut and surprisingly, they have fresh, still in shells, waiting to be cracked coconuts here! All for a very low price.
If you’re in the area and craving for some elotes (and bold enough), this is the place. If it’s summer and you need to beat the Texas heat, why not do it with fresh and healthy fruits?

Pretty much I’m disappointed at this place, I had higher expectations specially after reading everyone reviews.
First I grow up in Mexico and work in two different Mexican snack bars so I know how real Mexican snacks taste like .
I try the corn in the cup and it was horrible the corn was super hard to chew on, the added that smelly feet powder cheese and valentina hot sauce instead of the chile powder «chile preparado».
El chicharrón cuadrado «preparado» was pretty horrible too. I can even make it ten times better!!! They added a mountain of cabbage … Smelly feet powder cheese. And Valentina hot sauce .eww
The third thing I try was the russa. That was delicious it was the first time I try a russa and fell in love with it.

Hells yes! this place is my new treats place. If i want a smoothie or fruit cup, icecream, whatever, they got it. I love their motto; We don’t serve fast food only natural fruit quickly. This place is a gem!

We can’t get enough of this place, the mangonadas are always on point. This place is so good its always worth the wait, never more than 10 to 15 minutes for us.

It’s good, fresh, sweet fruit, and a lot of it for cheap. Their default fruit cocktail doesn’t come with mango or jicama though. Also, oranges is a new Austin addition/​twist for me, I don’t usually see that in my Mexican fruit cups…

I love the fruit cups here. You pick the different fruits you want, in a size you want, and they put lime juice and chile powder on it. Its like Taijin but the real deal. They also have great grilled corn (elotes) which you must try, but be warned, pick the size you think you can actually eat! lol

I love this place! The watermelon water tastes just like you are drinking a fresh watermelon straight from the vine.
UPDATE: Still love this place for the watermelon water & fruit, but we tried the nachos and a few other «dinner» type items and did not like. We’ll stick with their fruit.

Great, authentic little place. The watermelon was terrible, but everything else was fantastic. They have smoothies, fruit cups, nachos, candy, etc. The fruit was very fresh and the pickled cucumbers were exactly what I wanted on a hot, summer day.

Everything is made fresh every time. The people that work are very friend and helpful. It’s been 5 years since I discovered the place and still going there.

Every once in a while, I run across as sparkling little gem that brightens my day. And, when I do, I have to carefully consider whether I want to share this magical find — or if I want to horde this Precious for myself.
After careful consideration, I have decided to share… even if it means that there may be a longer line there next time I go.
Now don’t get me wrong, this place has no fine accouterments. No bone china, no fine crystal, no ambiance or decorations. Nope. This is just a small, little, narrow insurance shop in a little shopping center, east of 35.
Did she just say ‘insurance shop?‘
Yes, I said «insurance shop.» Just go past the insurance cubicle to the fruit counter in the back. Apparently this place has a female identity because it can multitask.
So why put yourself through this effort? It’s all about the fruit, man! They fill up a large (read «monster» sized) cup of fresh fruit and sprinkle the fruit with spicy pepper and lime juice and off you go with your cup of cool in the Austin heat.
Best part yet is how cheap it is!
Just one word of warning, though, this can take some time. They are slicing and preparing your fruit fresh. After all, who wants old, oxidized fruit? Not me. I just want my fresh, refreshing F&F fruit cup!

Fruit cups were a new discovery to me a few years ago. When we first moved into our new home, our lovely neighbors welcomed us with a fruit cup from F & F. Yum, it was such a wonderful treat on a hot summer day. It’s basically a big cup of fruit sprinkled with chili powder, which seemed an odd combination to me at first, but tastes oh so good. This place always has a line because it’s so popular (and awesome), but is soooo worth it. I haven’t been to any other fruit cup establishments, but from what I understand from my neighbors, this place is the best one around. I’m not sure what the «F & F» stands for, but my husband and I like to think that it stands for F***ING FRUIT!!” :)
I usually get the large cup with 5 fruits: pineapple, coconut, cantalope, strawberries, and kiwi.
