Eyemart Express

What a horrible experience. The worst service ever. I went to the Eyemart Express Airport Blvd. location and picked out (2) pairs of glasses then waited 40 minutes to be helped by the inattentive staff only to be told they took my insurance but I could not utilize my insurance because their vendor pin for my insurance was not working. They said they had to call another location to get a manager password and they would be able to use my insurance. Ok. Waited 30 more minutes. Nobody said a word to me. Asked if they had the password yet. Told to be patient they are very busy. 30 more minutes. Told they are still waiting for the manager password so I called another location, explained the situation only to keep getting put on hold them finally hung up on. Then I am told they could now help me because the manager had called back. Again I get told their vendor pin did not work and I could pay in full and deal with my insurance myself to get reimbursed. So I ask for the number of the manager only to have the staff become irate that I would make such a request. Told I could leave the store if I’m not happy. 2 plus hours in Eyemart express on a Saturday with no resolution is not acceptable. Additionally, I have bought about 10 pairs of glasses from this company for myself and my family over the years and I tolerated the horrible service for the low prices. But you get what you pay for. These people should be fired for gross customer service and incompetence. To treat customers like this — repeat customers no less. Avoid this place and the human feces posing as staff.

A lot of misstatements in their TV ads.
Cheap glasses only if you want the most generic plastic single vision lenses and ugly frames.
Second pair free only if you have insurance. If you don’t — too bad! You get to foot the entire bill yourself out of pocket and then get screwed out of that second pair. I guess they take whatever pittance the insurance pays them for the second pair.
Oh, and if you have to have something more complex than simple lenses they have to send them off and it’s not one or two hours, it’s TWO WEEKS.
Customer service lacking as well. I bought glasses here but I don’t have a lot of confidence that I will get what I wanted. If not — they get them back and the charge gets reversed.

Eye mart has the best prices
Walked in got help, didn’t wait. Got my glasses 2 pair of 3 line progressive lens $ 200.00. People if the frames or lens are to expensive just go to the dollar buy 5 pairs and you will be fine

Rude, uncaring and un informative I called to see if they could redo my lenses in frames I had. They said sure just be here by five. I drive 30 minutes to the store and the silly little girl said did u buy the frames here and I said ‘no”. She said oh we don’t put lenses in other peoples frames. I said that is a really important piece of info that would have been nice to tell me on the phone. She said well you should have asked. That is really great customer service isn’t it. What a bunch of dicks. She said that it wasn’t her and there are three people who answer the phone. ASSHOLES.

Ima give em 5 stars because of the excellent customer service by Wayne and Dorothy. Everyone there is super nice. Got my first pair of Bi– focals there and didnt like em. Not their fault. Got em done in single vision and I’m happy with em. Place is busy and I was in and out in just minutes. Plus they are close to my house.

Best experience I have had with glasses. I picked a frame, they told me how much and I was done. Wayne said let me see how long it will be for them to be done. I expected at least a weak. He said they would be done in two hours. They texted me an hour later notifying me that they were done. Exceeded my expectations.

I went to Eyemart just today. They had a great special to get two pairs of glasses for less than $ 100! Not only was that a great deal in my opinion but the staff was so nice and helpful and fast. The whole staff was great but I must say that Dorothy at Eyemart was extremely helpful and genuinely nice and so customer service oriented. She made my experience so enjoyable and pleasant. She even knew other regular customers that came in by name and remembered my name later when I came in to pick up my glasses which were ready in one hour! Both pairs! I definitely recommend shopping at this Eyemart location if you need a pair or even two pairs of glasses! Shopping for anything can be an ordeal at certain places but this experience left me feeling like a very valued customer and that my business mattered. Thank you to Dorothy and the whole staff at eyemart! I’ll be back.

My glasses and I aren’t fans of each other and I can’t wait to be able to wear my contacts again. That being said my glasses managed to get revenge by snapping off its left arm. Try wearing glasses with only one arm over an ear.
Since I’m blind without my contacts/​last resort glasses I had to find a place that could make my glasses quickly so I could get to work and class. After calling around and realizing banking hours apply to more than just bankers, I called Eyemart Express. Someone answered the phone just after 8am — which was amazing after calling so many places.
I made an appointment for an eye exam that morning. I realized just before the appointment that I had a prescription from this year and didn’t need the exam. When I called to cancel the exam they were nice and told me to come in anytime to get a new pair of glasses. I drove right over and in no time had a new pair of glasses.

The wait can be a little long and the selection can be a little tight but overall the price and quality of service balance those out. I recently broke my glasses (frames) and called in a panic. They told me I was still within the (automatic) 1 yr frame warranty and within about 30 minutes I had new frames and was on my way. No charge!

It’s not wise to come here. So be wise, and don’t come here.
I’ve been 2 times. Why did I go a second time? You got it! I was not wise.
1^st time — Tiny the optician was difficult to deal with. Prices were not as advertised. It took 2 weeks to get my glasses. So I vowed never to come again!
2^nd time — Apparently I came here again… Poop on me. Again, Tiny was not only difficult to deal with, but he forgot to take my PD. Got the glasses after 7 days which was fine, but sucks to be me, I couldn’t see a damn thing out of the lens because Tiny didn’t measure my PD. Yay life.
3^rd time — Nope.

If you are considering going here, STOP! Turn around and run. The exam I was given was a joke. Unlike other optical shops, the exam was very lightweight and done in a jiffy. The optician (I question this title) was arrogant and must have been in a hurry… Consequently, I have been back THREE times so that my prescription could be adjusted… I would really like to see after purchasing glasses. You know what I mean?
I have never had this problem in my whole life. That’s because I never went to these jokesters before. Do not go here if you would like to see!

They are understaffed but helpful when available. I don’t think this should be getting as low ratings as others have been giving it.

This place is always understaffed, so give yourself plenty of time (30 min) even if you just want to pick up glasses.
While the price may look good, the glasses feel flimsy. Like they could break at any moment.

Broke my glasses and needed a pair quick for a wedding. Went in at 2:30ish, made sure they had everything for my prescription in stock so I could have them ready by 5. Spent an hour picking out frames, 15 minutes waiting to be helped, then told that they wanted to leave early today so they would not be able to have them by 5. This was at 3:30, with the sign on the door saying 1 hr glasses, open till 5.

for $ 8 glasses. Better quality, better service, better value, and it turns out better speed. Thumbs down.

I called both the Highland and the Stassney/​I35 locations for pricing on having new lenses fitted to my own frames. I was told there was a $ 10 fee for customer supplied frames. Fair enough! When I got to the Highland Mall store they told me the price was $ 20 because I had «designer frames.» When I objected to the bait-​and-​switch and informed them that nobody had asked me if I had «designer» frames their method of dealing with it was to evict me from the premises. At age 63 this was a new experience for me. I went to the Round Rock location and explained the entire situation and they were courteous, professional and agreed to make the lenses no problem. When I called the Stassney/​I35 store they also said they would only charge $ 10. I did not go there because they had suffered equipment breakdown and were way behind. For the record I had raised my voice (but not yelling). I used no off-​color language and made no threats either verbal or by gesture. There was never any apology offered for the two different prices

The customer service at this place is horrible. I walked in and no one greeted me or asked me if I needed help for at least 30 mins. When I finally found a frame I liked, I picked it up only to see that someone (or maybe a puppy?) had chewed parts of it. When I finally needed help, it took forever to get someone. Their frame selection is ok. They have a lot of the same style frames but just by different designers. To top it off, they also got the prescription for my glasses wrong, so now I have to go back in to get them fixed.

So this is one of those places that sells cheap glasses and tries to get you with that «2 pair for $ 80» thing, when really you’ll probably end up paying over $ 100.
My experience. I went in on a Saturday around 1 PM and no one greeted me or asked if I needed anything for quite a while. The selection of glasses was OK and they had some discounted frames from name-​brand designers. I picked out one of the cheapest pairs they had ($ 20) and had my prescription faxed from my optometrist. The glasses were ready in an hour… So far so good.
When I tried them on I could tell something was wrong but the lady working behind the counter did nothing to try and help me figure out the problem. She asked if I it was a new prescription and when I said «no» she just folded up the glasses and handed them to me like «see ya later». It was weird.
I came back two days later and they tightened the glasses a bit. A little better, but not fixing the problem. I came back a third time a few days later and they finally realized the lenses were slightly off from what was prescribed. So the problem was eventually fixed.
I wish I had gone with my usual glasses boutique, Eclectic Eyewear. It wasn’t worth the hassle of dealing with this place. if you do go there and have a problem I recommend talking to a manager because no one else on the front end seems to know much about eyewear.
Two stars for low cost frames that I’ve been getting tons of compliments on.
