Executive Drafts is definitely worth looking into if you’re further along in your career and want to update your CV/​Resume. For newer grads, with less experience like myself, it could be more hit or miss.
The communication is great, and there were no problems there. This was actually a really strong aspect, as they get an idea of what your skills are and how they should be marketed.
My experience was pleasant, but not necessarily perfect; there were minor mistakes on my final draft that I just went ahead and fixed myself, but something worth noting.
Nothing changed in terms of responses after my resume was done. I was able to get connected with some people in companies that I was interested in working for, through the «It’s who you know» technique; to my surprise the comments I got back were actually that my resume wasn’t very impressive; and not that my experience wasn’t impressive, but the execution of how it was presented was not. To be fair, they didn’t say it was extremely bad… just that it wasn’t necessarily very good. I was a bit disappointed by this, but I took the information as a lesson to improve upon the resume myself going forward.
If you have the disposable funds and feel like you don’t know which direction to go; I actually would indeed recommend them. If you plan on spending money in hopes of it being an investment with great returns, then I would re-​evaluate the expected return. Great communication and customer service skills, but the service didn’t necessarily work in the way I was hoping. Hopefully it is beneficial for others!

Exec. Drafts helped me polish up my resume after a few months of lackluster results. I would get interviews and offers however the jobs I wanted versus the jobs being offered weren’t lining up. I suspected my resume wasn’t really conveying what I wanted and what I’m capable of effectively. Time to consult someone with more experience than me!
Exec. Drafts helped condense my resume down very effectively without selling myself short. Perhaps the biggest single improvement was the change in philosophy of my resume. Trent made the excellent (and previously unnoticed by me) observation that my resume was largely regurgitated job description. Instead, Trent altered my resume to focus on selling my capabilities and previous accomplishments. I think this will make a huge difference in my search efforts.

As soon as I signed up… it only took minutes that Jeremy reached out to me and sent me a 7 paragraph email explaining what he saw in my current resume, how he could improve it significantly, and the importance for each change he would make. Update: their system is flaw, I been using their resume for over two months and not a single call back. They need to get with the time and start to use words and methods that will get you pass the bots.
I first did business with Executive drafts over two years ago, it worked wonders to my job hunting. Just recently I had them update the resume from two years ago and not only did they do a great job they gave me a discount since I was a repeated customer. I been so happy with the service they provided that I refer anyone that is looking for professional resume writing/​advice here.

Due to my lack of experience, I really felt that I needed to enlist the help of a professional to make me more marketable. Unfortunately, I do not believe that was accomplished.
Upon completion of my resume, I showed the end result to two separate friends in human resources and they both gave me a huge thumbs down and informed me that my resume would have instantly wound up in their trash. When I pressed them for feedback, they told me which parts were working against me and why. Everything they said made perfect sense.

I worked with Jeremy and Trent in January to rewrite my resume. I was specifically looking to emphasize newer skills and de-​emphasize others to change career paths. The interview, writing, and review took a couple weeks and was very thorough and really built up my confidence. I used my new resume to update LinkedIn and within 2 weeks I was getting contacted by recruiters for positions in my desired field. Jeremy and the service that Executive Drafts provides is beyond measure! Writing and updating my resume is something I am not only NOT good at, it is also something I hate doing.
