They might want to invest in covering pot holes in their parking lot. We waited for 40 minutes before we got our food. They forgot our order, had the nerve to question the cashier to make sure she charged us all of the order(you’d think they would’ve offered a free taco!), then… when we got back to work and started to eat(we had to make it a to-go, after the wait), we realized they completed the order incorrectly! The ‘barbacoa’ looked like pieces of boiled meat and the food was not hot ! Yikes.

We came here last Saturday morning around 10am, service began awful and did not improve. The food was mediocre at best, the only reason I did 2 stars instead of one is the tortillas are really really… really good, if the food and service was as good as the tortillas this place would truly be a huge hit. Save your money or just come in to get the tortillas and head out in my opinion.

Holy cheap tacos! I got tired of driving around on the east side trying to find cheap and delicious tacos, and finally gave this place a shot. I now know where I’m going for hangover tacos.

I give Tex-Mex a ton of latitude because it’s some of my favorite food and, in my opinion, hard to screw up. This joint not only tasted bad on site but also gave me a fun round of food poisoning. Queso was 90% hot water mixed with a dab of melted cheese at best. Served in a styrofoam cup! Salsas were barely worth mentioning. Flavorless and atomic level spicy. I thought the chicken in my enchiladas tasted a little peculiar, but not enough to make me think it was unsafe to eat. Really wish I had just cut my losses. Still feeling those gut cramps 24 hours later. They didn’t even serve booze to take the edge off. Their food is awful and clearly not sanitary. Do not go.

This place is my new favorite taco joint. It’s not frills and definitely a hole in the wall, but I would take that over a fancy $ 4 taco place any day. The price/quality/convenience combo cannot be beat. I highly recommend their Al Pastor burrito. Smother it in their verde salsa. The tortilla has this slightly gummy texture I can’t find anywhere else in Austin, that I truly love. $ 1 breakfast tacos before 11pm as well. A little larger than similarly priced tacos in the area. The staff is nice and polite too! Don’t forget to get a picture with the grandma outside.

Often times I speak to the fact in my reviews how much I travel both counties(Travis/Williamson) for my job. I’d been passing this establishment for several years. One morning I passed by and saw and A.P.D. unit parked in the front. I thought hmmmmm if 5 – 0 is there something good must be inside. I waited about two weeks and in June of 2013 finally went in. I began with breakfast tacos and boy are they good. If you’re afraid of east Austin get over yourself because this place is cool. I say that because I’ve had multiple co-workers benefit from my purchasing several tacos but claim it’s a «bad area» to stop. Last time I looked the restaurant is next to a fire station and close to a goodwill. I’ve never had an issue with this place outside of eating to darn much… no I’m serious. My Wife gives the food a thumbs up and says the flavors are very good to her. I’ve tried lunch and dinner there, more of the same you get what you pay for but you also know what you expect. Try to stay away from the Bistec plate, a co-worker of mine nearly ate himself into a coma. Good food, decent folk and fair prices go a long way anytime.

Our daughter recommended this place for a quick late lunch. Wow! What a great find! The food was made from scratch real quickly and on point! We sampled a little of quite a few things and it was all fantastic! Thank goodness for little hidden gems!

Visited this breakfast hot spot because of the numerous rave reviews and have to say that while yes, the prices were very reasonable and the portion sizes are generous… you get what you pay for at this place. The beans were tasteless, the flour tortillas were NOT homemade and the 1 thing I was looking forward to the most was NOTAVAILABLE!!! If you look over the reviews, the fruit cocktails are a reason for stopping at this place and are splashed across every window in the joint as well as the exterior walls. The thing they advertise the most, they weren’t offering??? It was a Sunday morning! The busiest breakfast of the week, arguably! I also got an order of hotcakes which was regrettable. Burnt & rubbery. We WON’T be back.

Wow! Delicious!!! It doesn’t look like too much on the outside, but it’s what’s in the inside that matters. The food is so good! They have fresh squeezed orange juice!!! So yummy. I had napales, eggs, beans and potatoes and they were amazing! The price is just right; less than 20 $ for two including a 5 $ tip. So glad I discovered this little place. Totally will be back!

I’m a white guy so I feel obligated to review this place seeing as how it’s in East Austin and hasn’t been gentrified yet. I’m going to stick with the key words that Unilocal!favors like«fresh» and«homemade» and«authentic.» Sure, our food hasn’t been brought out yet, but fuck it, right? This is Unilocal!and I’m free to make sweeping generalizations based on the atmosphere alone. I feel so cultured.

I honestly don’t see the appeal of this place and did not find the food to be authentic at all. The queso definitely came out of a can or box. I tried the cheese enchiladas with rice and beans and the mushroom quesadilla. The cheese enchiladas were okay, but you really can’t screw those up. The refried beans were a watery soup consistency which is not something I’ve ever seen before. I will say the quesadilla had a lot of mushrooms on it which is good, but the bottom of it was saturated in grease to the point of being unappetizing. I believe the salsas were homemade but that’s about it. Also, this is the first time I’ve encountered a Mexican food restaurant that doesn’t sell any alcohol at all, not even beer. What’s up with that?

The menu says the restaurant is open from 6am-9pm. The restaurant is very popular at lunch. It serves home made corn tortillas. Customers look like they come from the immediate neighborhood and businesses. I’ve had the fajitas and shrimp chile relleno. All were good and reasonable. Service is prompt. Pay at the cashier. Breakfast is more expensive after 11 am. The restaurant is no longer a secret.

Became a fan of this place when we were living on the East side… now we have to drive a bit but still do because the food is good and inexpensive to boot. This is one of the few Mexican places in Austin that is NOT Tex-Mex…which is a relief! They have an awesome Avocado chalupa and their lunch specials are insanely filling for $ 4.99!!! Super casual, diner-esque décor and yummy food, check ‘em out!

Hidden gem on Airport Boulevard near the Hwy 71 turnoff. Blink and you might miss it. So authentic you may want to practice your Spanish before going. Great breakfast plates with discounted pricing before 11am. Homemade tortillas as well. Can’t miss!
