El Naranjo has been serving Austin, TX since 2012. Our mission is to provide fresh, flavorful, traditional Oaxacan cuisine in a modern environment. With many years of success in the industry, we hope to add you to our long history of happy customers.

Ernesto T.
Business Owner
Ernesto Torrealba and his wife, and El Naranjo chef, Iliana de la Vega have been in the Mexican food industry for over seven years. After moving to Oaxaca, the couple decided to open their first restaurant which earned them international acclaim. After some political upheaval, Ernesto and Iliana moved to Austin and resurrected their beloved restaurant first as a food truck and then at its current Rainy Street location. Iliana is proud to serve the public her traditional dishes at El Naranjo and puts her passion into everything she prepares. Ernesto and Iliana hope that you can stop by the next time you’re in the mood for something new and delicious to eat.
