This place is so up and down but the past 6 or 7 times we have been there they are going further and futher down hill. Anywhere from burning bagels to paying for extra spread and not getting any to the everything bagel really has nothing on it. It is sad. I use to love going there but really I think grocery store bagel’s are better then these at this point. There use to be a guy who was obnoxiously happy every morning but now I miss him now that there is nothing but grumpy rude people who work there. So many things wrong with this store that it would take me all day to list them but it is sad that it has gone so far down hill. Can we please get a better bagel store in our area. I really hope the one that is opening closer to my home is 1,000 times better then this store because I will tell you what it won’t last long.

This by far has been the worst Einstein Bros location I have ever been to. 15 mins for 2 bagels on a slow day with 7 incompetent employees and a manager that looked like he barely finished middle school ! I have no other locations close by to me if not I would go elsewhere. I witnessed another customer accidentally spill coffee over himself. Not one staff member asked if he was ok, they just let him stand there in soaked coffee. They did not put a «wet floor» sign and finally after 7 mins came to sop up the coffee with tons of paper towels instead of a mop ! Forget going through a drive thru, the staff barely comprehends basic orders and instructions. Who runs this place?

This place must be horribly mismanaged. Everything takes so long and watching them from the drive through you can see them bumping into each other. Today the speaker was out so they were taking orders at the window and didn’t even acknowledge they had a problem when I did finally make it for my turn. Two cars in front of me gave up and drove away so that did help a little. However, the Green Chile Bagel was delicious.

I’ve always enjoyed the bagels at Einsteins. They seem to be fresh and have a nice moistness to them. The prices for bagels seems to have gotten a bit expensive though, but I guess that’s the going rate. I wish there was a Noah’s bagels here, but oh well. We don’t get bagels for breakfast that often because I’m more of a protein guy, but I have no complaints here.

SO slow, they have gotten my order wrong numerous times. This place needs more employees to put it simply.

This location appears to have a serious managerial/leadership problem. It needs an intervention if it is to be saved. I broke down today and wrote an email to corporate. It is damaging the brand, and I believe in the brand. Einstein Bros Bagels is a good restaurant chain and this location is a serious problem for the brand. The quality of service is poor. Long waits at the drive thru and when you finally get your food it is clear the poor window attendant is totally stressed. Poor management and lack of staffing appears to be the main issue(I’m sure there are other problems). I’ve gone inside to see if it helps, but most of the coffee options are empty with none brewing in reserve, it looks messy and the staff is running around in a panic. The other serious issue I have is with how often they run out of bagels. I don’t get it. A bagel place can run out of juice or muffins, but a bagel place running out of bagels is inexcusable. Of course, not every bagel, but the number of times that I have gone and run down a list of bagels until I hit one they had is way too many for a bagel store. Please note, I am not trying to be mean and I’m actually a fan of the franchise. There are several other locations that demonstrate what good looks like. I provide this feedback in the hopes that somebody does something. I have been going once a week for last few years and I have A LOT of data to support this review. It is on my way to work, I like the product and I want it to survive. Somebody, please step in and help this place! Oh, btw, I typically go between 7am and 9am during the week. I cannot comment on other times.

Horrible service. Over 30 mins wait regardless of amount of people or day. I asked the manager why always the long wait, she told me they are under staffed. This has been the case for the past year. I haven’t seen this bad service in a while. I’m done with this location.

Piss poor practice. No structure and not regarding the wait that i am ok with. Always has a «now hiring» sign. Guess that tells you something. Shouldn’t be named Einstein.

I’ll keep this simple. I love the variety of bagels and spreads. I would give it a 4 star just for that. Although, this location losses 2 stars for their service. DONOT come to this location in the morning unless you have 15 – 20 minutes available to wait in the drive thru. Service inside can be slightly better(10 minutes). I’ve been coming here for 3 years and the wait time hasn’t changed much.

I finally contacted the corporate website after several months because it came to my attention recently at a staff meeting that others refuse to go to this location either for similar bad experiences. It was nice to know I’m not alone! But, also disheartening because I like the bagels they make — but the service is so bad, it doesn’t make the bagels worth the stress/hassle

This location is usually slow, but it’s not something that make me never return! They’re bagels are consistently deeeeelish, and affordable. 2 toasted blueberry w strawberry schmear, please!

Friendly competent service, great bagels(for a chain) and a cavalcade of smears, and decent coffee. Next door at our meeting the coffee being served was brown water compared to Einstein. I took advantage of their early opening to have a decent coffee, and a hot bagel smothered with my favorite smear. WiFi access was adequate as well. Only complaint they need to tweak their food prep — delivery process. When it got busy customers were stacked awaiting their orders. I believe they are understaffed as they had an employment Opp sign out front.

I refuse to visit this location any more. I may not be off the company entirely, but this location is abysmal. They toast things I ask not to be toasted. They forget orders entirely. I just now waited 30 minutes for a coffee and I the only person in line when I ordered it. It’s a horrible location with employees that are more concerned about making excuses that serving customers. This place needs help severely. And it’s not just this one visit. I’ve been going at least once a week for several years and there’s usually a problem. It’s systemic. The staff doesn’t seem to care. The one on 12th has a great upbeat staff and there’s never a wait. The one on campus has had its problems, but the last time I waited this long, the manager took me aside and apologized and gave me a drink token. The one on Great Hills is busy but never any problems. What’s up with this store? They’ve lost me as a customer and it’ll be a long time until I even visit another one, which is sad because the bagels are delicious.

Perhaps the most incompetently run Einstein’s in the state of Texas. It’s on my way to work so I sometimes stop here, but over the last six months service has just been miserable. This is also the only location in Austin that shortchanges you if you ask for your bagel breakfast sandwich with egg whites instead of whole eggs — you get one very thin slice of egg white. The manager is a real piece of work who is constantly training new people because she can’t keep anyone.

I like this place but today service was really bad. They had a bunch of new people working there today that obviously should not have been working on their own. There wasn’t even a line but the lady at the register was extremely new and extremely slow. She kept forgetting the order over and over again. I told them to go and the order came out for dine in. They were out of tuna also so I had to change my order. I will go back again but not for the service. Only for the coffee

25 minutes from walking in to walking out. For a bagel. Toasted. With peanut butter. What a joke! It was not busy, and there seemed to be enough help behind the counter(too many Indians, not enough Chiefs possibly?) We had already paid, otherwise we would have walked out(we almost did anyway.) Good luck getting your stuff figured out, Einsteins.

Went to this location of Einstein Bros on a Saturday morning(11AM) with 7 – 8 other friends. There were maybe 5 people ahead of us in line. It took them 55 minutes to make my order of bagel with egg and cheese… Ridiculous!!! Everybody was fuming because the wait. After 55 minutes they gave me a bagel which was half burnt. I have attached the picture. In my book, you have to try really hard to earn a 1-star review and this franchise location earned it with flying colors.

Won’t be coming back here until enough time has passed where I assume a new system has be incorporated because they currently(at least for the Saturday 11÷8÷14 shift) don’t know what they are doing. Ordered a plain toasted bagel with grape jelly, really complicated as far as the bagel world goes. After sitting there for 22mins waiting and watching the entire crew bumble around without any type of organization I walked up to the manager and told him what I had ordered and to throw it away and then walked out. I said it to the manager with the hopes it would light a flame under the supposed supervisors butt so he would then fix this nonsense. Like I said time will tell, one year from meow I might go back.

Hi there. How long does it take you to toast a bagel? Did you say five minutes or so? Me too. Would you like to enter a world where it takes twenty minutes — twenty American minutes — to toast a bagel? With like only three other customers in the place? Well, then! Go here. Also! Do you cherish that feeling when you unwrap your food & find that it’s not even the bagel you ordered, after waiting twenty dogsurfing minutes for it? Go here! Seriously– if you love waiting and bad service and eating things you don’t like, jump in your truck right now & head on down. Oh– and don’t worry about not having this experience when you go. It’s not a fluke! It happens every time I go.

I walked in at 8:10. There was only one long line. By the time I was near the cash register they opened another line for the people who had just walked in. They did not consider the people who were waiting 15 minutes to order. I finally ordered a latte. The employee continued taking and completed orders of customers after me. After 15 minutes, I asked about my latte. She said she would get to it. She didn’t and continued with her customers. Eventually, someone who looked like a manager noticed a red screen. Another customer who had been waiting longer(30 min) mentioned their issue to him. The manager’s excuse was that they were understaffed. No apology. Eventually an employee began to clean the latte machine with a dirty wet rag. I realized that I was going to be late, so I asked for a refund. That took 10 minutes to receive. No apology. In conclusion, this is a very dirty place. I left with no beverage, horrible customer service, and a waste of 40 minutes.
