Eagle tansmission did a great job taking care of my ailing Odyssey minivan, a model notorious for transmission failures.
Brandon at Eagle transmission was awesome for customer service, made the whole experience simple. They picked my car up from the dealership (which was going to charge me far to much to fix the minivan), brought it to Eagle, did the diagnostics, explained everything in a straightforward manner, gave me my options. They replaced the transmission with a remanufactured unit that is working wonderfully now. The new transmission should be even better than the old one, has an added transmission cooler and has a three year warranty. The service on my car was surprisingly fast, and included checking the other bits that might have needed service while the transmission was off (e.g. engine mounts) but found nothing else major needed.
I thoroughly recommend these guys.

Had a new clutch installed on my 1995 Ford Ranger a little over a month ago. So far so good. Comes with a year warranty. A bit more than I expected to pay, but worth not having to worry about it not being installed correctly. These guys have a good reputation.

Yup. These guys are good. I was braced for a lot more $$ and hassle, but pleasantly surprised with a much more reasonable price. Don’t go anywhere else for your transmission services. I am so relieved to have found them.
p. s. — I haven’t been inspired to write a review in years, and with a vehicle now at 16 years old and 232K miles, I’ve been to a few mechanics. Go ahead and try ‘em out.

After going to a few places to get quotes for our Mustangs clutch We found Brandon at Eagle. He had the best customer service and did the work faster than we thought possible. They were able to bring us home when we dropped off the car for work. They got the work done in two days, which was faster than all the other places. We were able to drop the car off Monday afternoon and picked it up Wednesday morning.
The Mustang drives like new again and we could not have been happier with the service that we got at Eagle.

Great experience. Brandon was very helpful and they were done earlier than expected for a good price. The 3 year warranty made me feel much better. When I brought it in for the 2 week checkup I mentioned the 1 – 2 shift was hard.
Despite me bringing it in that day and Brandon being shorthanded, he made sure to get the adjustments done before he closed. Runs like a champ now.
I highly recommend them.

«There’s nothing wrong with your transmission» and «We don’t charge for diagnostics» are just about the sweetest words you will ever hear from a transmission repair shop, wouldn’t you agree? I went here after a local oil change shop tried to talk me into a transmission flush and fill service, two visits in a row. Eagle assured me that there’s not one thing wrong with my transmission; that brownish-​red is a normal color for a eight-​year-​old car’s transmission fluid; and that a transmission should never, ever be «flushed.» Thanks for the honest, free service.

Professional and friendly service. Took my Jeep to them to fix the transmission 8 months ago. It still runs find now without any problems. They did the job in the time stated. They offer warranty of 3 years/​36,000 miles on it as well. They been in business for many years and member of BBB, so take your vehicle to them in you ever unfortunately need transmission work done.

Excellent Customer Service
I just picked up my car (after hours because I wanted to go see Hunger Games and the movie ended after the shop closed — and Brandon totally worked with me on that with no hassle — paid by credit card over the phone, swung by after the movie) and when I turned the ignition switch the engine sounded better than it had in years. My husband and I nearly clapped.
Brandon worked with me over the phone — my transmission went out at night. The next day I called and had it towed to Eagle, even though I’ve never been there. Brandon did a great job of explaining things to me and providing me information so I could make decisions about how to proceed. Also, he was very friendly, which made the stress of dealing with car trouble a lot easier. All of this was over the phone.
They warrantied the work for 3 years, 30,000 miles, which is more than a co-​worker got when she had similar work done elsewhere. I wasn’t surprised when I logged in and saw a 5-​star average.
Since my transmission had to be rebuilt, they’re having me come back in in 2 weeks so they can take a look and check that everything is as it should be. I’ve never had a mechanic ask me to do that before. I love that they are so invested in the quality of the work AND the customer service.

Wow, I was sure that something was wrong with the transmission in my 1999 Mercury Mountaineer. It shifts a little funny under just the right conditions and I wanted to get ahead of a problem and fix it before it causes more damage. Ken test drove my truck and checked everything out only to report that it needs ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. He even said he would say my transmission was in good condition! I was not convinced and asked if someone could ride with me as I drove. «Sure can» said Ken. We talked as the transmission shifted and he explained what was going on with the transmission and why he thinks nothing is wrong with it. Although I could not replicate exactly what I have experienced without Ken in the truck, he spoke to patterns they see with this particular transmission, which is not what most Mountaineers and Explorers have because I have a V8 engine.
All in all, very knowledgeable and honest!

Eagle Transmission is amazing. They rebuilt my transmission for $ 1400 less than the dealership and I get the same warranty on it. Brandon was very helpful, including when my mom made her mechanic up in Missouri interrogate him to make sure he was legit. He has also answered my many questions. 1 star removed because my car fell off their jack, but they paid for my radiator to get fixed without any hassle, so I gave it back.

i know a lot of stuff but when it comes to things that go vroom, i am — how would i describe it — «like such as a US american without a map» (inane beauty queen reference). and so when i was advised to bring my vroom to eagle transmission by another mechanic (who doesn’t happen to do transmissions), i was at their mercy.
the friendly face behind the counter asked me what was going on. i provided a detailed, highly technical description that involved a vroom, several grunts, a hiccup, and a couple of errant hand gestures for good measure. i might have even moonwalked. when he asked me to repeat myself (twice), i assumed it was because i had so perfectly captured the essence of the problem that he wanted to record it for posterity, likely to be used in some advanced training video offered by a renowned institute of mechanical baddassery. «didya get that?» i asked. «oh, i already wrote down what i needed», he said «I just wanted to hear you make those noises again».
a day later, it was time to come pick up the vroom. «your transmission is fine», he told me, «In fact, the (thisthat) looks great and the (otherthing) is the perfect consistency and color». so what was the charge for 24 hours of his expertise? zilch. «no charge for diagnostics». he coulda charged me anything — i’m a US american without a map for goodness sakes. AND he even offered to call the other mechanic so they could grunt, hiccup, and vroom in a language that they both would understand about the source of my vroom problem.

Very pleased with their work. Nice people too. They looked for the easy stuff first but ruled it out and completed the work on time. 36K warranty and honored a $ 100 coupon I found online on their web site. A little slow on call backs but they are a busy place,

I had first taken my SUV to a plus transmission specialist where they had confirmed transmission problems. I had changed my mind to have it fixed there after reading some reviews and took my business here where it was determined that I actually didn’t have any real transmission issues other than a small leak from a seal on the bottom of the transmission which they fixed for about $ 120 with tax. I was relieved that it was not my transmission with the issue but a misfire with the engine which was causing my SUV to «buck» at random times.
The only thing I wish this place would be better about is calling back and giving updates but I can understand they are busy since they know what they’re doing here. This place is honest and saved me $ 580 + easy. I totally recommend eagle transmission.

The good news is, the clutch they installed previously is still just fine — no complaints there. The bad news is that one of my shifter cables died. Ever driven with just your odd numbered gears?
It’s suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuper fun!
As before, they didn’t take long once the parts came in and my baby is back in service.
The only teensy little quibble I have is that they had to move my air intake to get to one end of the cables. When they put it back, they used different screws on the box cover. I’m pretty sure the original ones stripped out and they made the best match they could (Honestly, I was expecting to replace them next time I cleaned my filter anyway). It would have been nice if they’d mentioned it so I wasn’t surprised by unexpected brass and weird slot shape when I lifted the bonnet.

Tim is incredibly friendly and helpful. As a woman, I’ve had plenty of mechanics patronize or talk down to me, but this guy talks straight and lets me know all my options. I greatly appreciate that. The communication and customer service here are fantastic!

First, Tim is a great guy and was very friendly. Right away hewas really helpful and knew where to get the part I needed. I brought my car in for a bushing for kickdown rod on a Tempo and he got me on the road quickly. My overall experience with Eagle transmission was worth the 5 star rating I gave. Thank you very much Tim. I will suggest Eagle to all my friends as a good place to start for Transmission problems.

Very friendly and professional– these guys understand customer service. Tim even called Enterprise car rental for me to ensure they honored their promotion they had offered. My car drives great again too, thanks guys!

I love Tim! He just saved me about $ 3000 yesterday. Not kidding.
I took my car into Flamingo (bad, bad shop). They told me I had a bad transmission and if my warranty would cover it AT ALL, I would need my transmission «blown apart» for $ 850. I contacted Eagle and they said that only costs $ 400 or less. So I towed my car to Eagle.
Tim called me after a half day with the good news that they did not need to blow anything apart, I just needed two new camshaft sensors.
And he had already done it.
And he had already talked to my warranty company and got it paid for.
Tim was so friendly and respectful. He didn’t talk down to me like the guy at the other shop. I am so happy that he took the time to investigate my problem thoroughly. I really could have easily been out a lot of money, since there is no way my warranty would have covered something that wasn’t broken. I can see why they have an A+ with the Better Business Bureau.
The waiting area, which I didn’t have to use, was very clean. I had the rental car company take me back to my car and my driver said he had heard similar stories of Eagle saving people money from other customers.

Honest and Transmission repair in the same sentence? YES. These guys rate. Thought I had an expensive repair; no — needed a
$ 200.00 fix. Honest work, honest recommendations, fast and thorough, would recommend this place to my mother. Get here to avoid being ripped off. Eagle will save the day.

On Tuesday evening my transmission unceremoniously dumped, spewed and poured most of my transmission fluid out along the lovely streets and parking lots of north central Austin. It was after 7pm, so I drove home cautiously and searched online for a nearby transmission specialist with a good reputation.
I found one place with an A+ Better Business Bureau rating and ZERO complaints about a mile from my house. Eagle Transmission on Buell Rd at Burnet Rd. At 7:30AM Wednesday morning I delivered my car to their shop. The manager Tim and I discussed what a gorgeous day it was and he asked if I need a ride to shuttle me home. I was close to home so I walked, but it is always nice when a car repair shop recognizes that their patrons might need transportation help and offers a ride. I was impressed.
He said there were about 5 cars ahead of mine and that he’d call after 2PM with the diagnosis & estimate. Fair enough. I left hoping for the best and fearing the worst. I’ve had transmission problems before and they were never cheap, always 4 figures.
So when he called before 2PM, I was pleasantly surprised. Then when he told me it was simply a bad hose and that they had already replaced it, I was giddy to be getting my car back in less than a day at the shop! THEN when he said that there would be no charge, I ran over to pick my car up before he could change his mind! Seriously?! That’s amazing. This level of service demonstrates a true respect for their customers and I thoroughly appreciate such honesty and integrity when I find a business that really proves itself. And the car is running perfectly again!
With any car problem I always hope it’s something easy to fix, but RARELY does it turn out that way. The only «repair» I ever got for FREE was when the Subaru dealer solved that loud clunking under the car by pulling out an errant can of tomatoes that had fallen out of my grocery bag and was rolling around under my driver’s seat!
Eagle Transmission has earned my trust and my repeat business whenever any of my cars need transmission work! I highly recommend them!
