Update from earlier (the first was filtered, and I hope that this does not meet the same fate): my wife and I hired Ernie to redo the floors in our condo. He was incredibly prompt, gave us a quote that he stuck to, and was really flexible in meeting our schedules. He did a really good job of keeping us informed throughout the process, and managed to fix a plumbing problem as well while he was redoing our floors.
What else is there to say? Other than doing a great job with our floors, the guy is just flat-​out friendly. He drove me to Home Depot to pick up baseboard because my car was too small to transport it, and when he realized that some of the tile we purchased was chipped upon delivery, he went out and bought a part to repair it – no charge. The next time we need work done, we are absolutely calling Ernie.

I heard about Ernesto from a friend of a friend and decided to have him come out and bid on doing some work in my commercial studio space (I’m a photographer). His bid was very reasonable, and after the great reviews from a friend of a friend I decided to hire him.
Ernesto specializes in concrete work (counter tops and concrete flooring) but he also does general contracting. I guess you could say he is a jack of all trades. For my space, I hired Ernesto to patch a big hole in my floor (concrete), frame out a wall, clean and polish the concrete floors, and build concrete counter tops in the break area. I was very pleased and impressed with all of the work he did, and I would and will hire him again for future projects at our home. His pricing was very reasonable and he has a great work ethic, shows up promptly and keeps up communication. I would highly recommend him!
And I wanted to mention, if you are looking for reasonably priced concrete counter tops you should talk to him. If you have a smaller area for counter tops, like a wet bar or bathroom, he can form the counter tops in a way that will save you a lot of money by using wood as the base and then applying the concrete on top.
