I often feel so taken advantage of by florists I find online. Hidden charges and always trying to *up* the sale, etc. I was THRILLED to work with Debra at Dsweetpeas. I told her the colors, the sort of thing I wanted, and the price I wanted to end up at, including everything. She met my expectation in every way. And my honoree, who received the flowers, was absolutely THRILLED, too. Don’t think you can go wrong with Dsweetpeas!

How did I ever get so lucky to find Debra and snag her as my florist for my wedding? Where do I even begin to describe the awesomeness that is Debra and D. Sweet Pea Floral? I’m still overwhelmed with gratitude to Debra and her team and all that they did to make my wedding day flowers absolutely perfect. Debra’s taste level and creative influence were absolutely perfect and right on par for the earthy, rustic, greenery heaven feel I was going for. I showed her exactly what I was wanting in terms of look and feel, but left the specific flowers up to her judgement, and we agreed she could make decisions based on the market at the time, so she could get the best volume of the biggest and prettiest flowers available when she was ordering for my wedding.
The outcome? She nailed it. The flowers were absolute perfection and even prettier than I imagined– I know that sounds cliché but it is the truth!
I planned my wedding from Houston, and Debra and I only met once in person for a walk through at my venue (Vista on Seward Hill) and honestly that was all we needed. Everything else was communicated and taken care of via email which is always my preference. She even let us pay with credit card which is a big bonus (points!) and one less vendor check to have to worry about. I had my set budget and original «wish list» I created and sent out to probably about 20 local Austin florists. I would say about five came back to me saying they could actually do everything on my list and keep within my budget, Debra being one of them.
She was so easy to work with, and just the most genuinely sweet person you will ever meet. Having her positive spirit a part of my planning process and my wedding day was just the icing on the cake. I am happy with all of the vendors I choose for my wedding and if I had it to do over, I would likely do everything the same. But I have to say, of all the choices I had and decisions I had to make for my wedding, I can say without a doubt that choosing Debra as my florist was the best one I made.

I took a private floral design class with Debra and it was a great experience. Debra showed up prepared with everything we needed, she was organized, professional, and generally just a lovely person to learn from and spend some time with. In preparation for the class, we exchanged a few introductory emails, it was clear that she planned the class around my experience based on the information I had given her. She was also very flexible with my schedule and understanding when I had to change things around. During the class, I learned about the elements of floral design, flower care and worked next to her to create an amazing arrangement. Before taking the class I had little knowledge about flowers and was surprised with how lovely the arrangement was that I created. Debra even left me with pre-​prepared learning materials so I could continue creating after the class. I would highly recommend taking one of her private classes. It was a ton of fun and something I had never done before!

Debra was soooo great! From the first time we met her she was very helpful in giving us ideas for our wedding flowers. I would recommend her to anyone wanting excellent service and wonderful flowers. If attention to detail and beautiful flowers are what you want she’s your girl. We just got our wedding pictures and we loved seeing again all the flower arrangements she did for us =)

I planned my Fall wedding almost entirely by myself as my mother lives 3.5 hours away. I called Ben White Florist and Debra came highly recommended by then. I met with Debra and we discussed my wedding colors: black, mint green, and coral red. I mentioned that I was looking for succulents and poppies, a very unique look, also aquatic in feeling. I figured this would be a tall and very specific order, but was pleasantly surprised when Debra pulled up pictures on her ipad and helped me find additional flowers. I ended up choosing ranunculus instead of poppies as poppies were not in season and Debra had my budget in mind. She also clued me in that chocolate cosmos as an accent flower would be black at that time of year and introduced me to pin-​cushion proteas which are coral red in color and look like an underwater plant, especially when in same arrangement as succulents. She was sure to find succulents as close to mint green as possible, and came up with the idea of using poppy pods as bouttonieres. From the table centerpieces of which there were 35(half floating candle and succulents in water over large black stones – half floral arrangements), to the bouquets and boutonnieres for our 20 person wedding party plus relatives, to my bouquet that was absolutely stunning, our wedding felt absolutely us. I don’t know how many compliments I received about the flowers – lots! and she even decorated the aisle i walked down, lining it expertly with white rose petals, oh and she took care of cake flowers and farewell petals as well, working with me on a personal touch of paper cones. She was prompt, everything was set up and she helped the guys pin on their flowers, and everything was cleared out and taken to Christopher House, a local hospice, for a lesser fee. Ours was a wedding with 350 guests, and Debra took care of everything. I would absolutely use D SweetPeas for any wedding/​event you have. I kid of wish i could get married every year to see what she creates that is so perfect for me. She listens, she’s knowledgeable, she’s available, and she will come through for your event. Thank you Debra! You made our day bloom!

I was horrified when I went to a Bridal event in Austin for wedding only to find out floral design services were charging $ 5000-​$ 10,000 MINIMUM for their services. I almost cried myself to sleep thinking I was not going to be able to afford the floral pieces I envisioned for my wedding. Miraculously, I ran into DSweetPeas online and set up a consult immediately with Debra. She was detail oriented (just like me!) and really put my interests and vision as her client ahead of her own. On my wedding day, she set up everything so I (nor my family) had to do the work. I was absolutely BLOWN AWAY by my wedding flowers!!! It was incredible and MORE beautiful than what I had envisioned. Debra did a magnificent job bringing my wedding flower vision to life! We found Debra after talking with many other designers. She is incredibly personable and easy to communicate with. That wasn’t the case with others we talked with who were rushed and tended to impose their ideas on us. She worked within our budget and took her time to suggest and SHOW us different flowers and arrangements. She was able to bring together flowers that looked like a natural bouquet of wild flowers with the perfect balance of colors. We are so glad we found her! She brought the warmth we wanted to our celebration.

I ordered a bouquet to be delivered recently, and was stunned and thrilled by how gorgeous it was! Debra went above and beyond to create a true work of art, and to have it delivered to my door with a sweet smile, was just a joy. I like to give flowers for birthdays and special occasions often, and I will absolutely be ordering from D Sweetpeas again! Also, I must admit that I’m something of a flower-​snob, and that all too often, I find most arrangements to be boring and common. Hardly ever do I find someone with a floral sensibility that I can really get into — I feel like with Debra, I’ve found the Holy Grail! I found Debra through Unilocal and thought I would give her a try for my wedding flowers. I had shopped around… but no one made me feel as special as she did. She brought out flowers and showed me different ideas and made me feel so comfortable that I was sold by the end of the conversation. She was in constant communication with me and even suggested I got to a different place for less expensive rose petals. You don’t find that type of person just anywhere.
My flowers turned out perfect. Even better than expected.
If you want personal service and someone who honestly cares about your event and what you want… Debra is the one for you.

Debra did such a lovely job on my wedding flowers! She came highly recommended by a good friend who used Debra for her wedding. I hardly know a thing about flowers, so I didn’t give her much guidance. I printed out some pictures that I liked online and gave Debra some basic ideas as to what colors I wanted, but I basically told her to just make something pretty that involved purple. She worked her magic and did such a great job. The flowers were a beautiful combination of pink, purple, and white with lots of greenery, perfect for spring time, and I got several compliments about how beautiful the bouquets were. I was very pleasantly surprised that the bouquets had a pastel look – not something I had expected, but I’m glad I gave her free range, because they were stunning.
We asked her to put some flowers on every other aisle seat, and I basically gave her free range for that as well. They turned out great! I was worried they wouldn’t be very noticeable, but they were nice and bold. We also had two large arrangements on either side of the altar, which were gorgeous. The only thing I wasn’t 100% happy about is that the groom’s boutonnière was a little scrawny, but the rose boutonnieres for all of the groomsmen and fathers were perfect. She also picked out some great flowers for the cake that matched it beatifully.
Debra is so sweet, creative, and easy to work with. Rather than trying to get us to spend more money, she helped us come up with ways to save money, like re-​using bridesmaid bouquets for some of the centerpieces. I strongly recommend her!

What more can we say, Debra (DSweetPeas) was amazing.
We hired her to do all the floral arrangements, bouquets, corsages, and boutonnieres for our wedding in March. Compared to other florists in the area, her prices were extremely reasonable. We first met Debra at Ben White Florist. While we had definite ideas for what we wanted, we weren’t sure exactly how to communicate the style, and Debra helped guide us through the process with ease.
When our wedding day came, we were floored. Delivery and set-​up happened exactly as we’d arranged with no surprises. All the flowers were just as we’d imagined (probably even better) and creatively arranged! For context, we had a more casual floral style with bright colors and natural arrangements. We truly felt like we got an unbelievable value and a final product that our guests raved about. Debra even took extra time to come back the next morning and pick-​up some of the displays that we had only rented from her.
