History
Established in 1985.
I had no idea where I would land when I first trained in Swedish massage and acupressure in LA (1985) working in hotel spas, physical therapy, acupuncture and chiropractic offices and a private practice for 7 years. In 1982, I graduated with a Master’s degree from Southwest Acupuncture College and opened a private practice in Santa Fe, NM before moving to Austin in 1998, where I have been in private practice since.
Prior to becoming a Doctor of Oriental Medicine, I attended UT and earned two degrees in 1976 (Social Sciences) and 1979 (Education). I received a Bachelor’s in Sacred Healing and Natural Theology in LA in 1989.
While I’ve earned several degrees and have continued to learn and develop as a practitioner, the knowledge and confidence I’ve gained from direct experience helping people heal is what I value and draw upon as I sit with each person afresh.
