Deep Eddy Vodka

Stopped in for a tasting and ended up dong the quick tour. Our guide knew all you needed to know about the place and vodka. We meet James who i think they said was the master distiller. The tasting room is big and hipster. If you go on the tour its 15 per person and it includes a glass and a free drink. I love this stuff. Grapefruit is my fav. but I love the others to. The peach is also yummy. Fun fact. the girl on the front of the logo has her foot in a pool. A lot of people thinks its vodka, its not. Its the pool that the vodka is named after. Deep Eddy Pool. I suggest you stop in. The staff is so nice and the vodka is perfect.

The trip wasn’t a total loss. We ended up stopping by Opal Devine’s for some good drinks and good food.

Fun place to try several flavors of Deep Eddy vodka. Casual atmosphere with a food truck out front to keep you going. Outdoor patio with bags and shade to relax with a good view of hill country.

This is a nice selection of Vodkas. Named after the Deep Eddy Pool in Austin Texas, its also located in Austin Texas, but thankfully can be found across the US. The have coupons running occasionally, be sure to look for one of those. They recently became available in NYS, but have been in NJ for a time and Ive been a fan since then.
There are currently 4 flavors vodka — original, sweet tea, grapefruit and cranberry. We have tried all four. We will be buying the grapefruit again. The sweet tea is perfect for you if you actually drink sweet tea otherwise, as in, in real life. But we don’t and we found it VERY sweet for our taste. The cranberry is quite good, easily will do in a pinch, but is not in the top ten of my choices. The plain is good, but also not the best Ive had. Not quite as smooth as others.
4 stars, LOVE the grapefruit, but the rest are not the favs. And with the higher pricepoint (without a coupon), 4 stars makes sense. But love that’s its American made. And will happily visit the distillery, if that’s allowed, when next in Austin, one of the BEST places in Texas.
