History

Established in 2003.

Dr. Thomas is a fellowship trained orthopedic surgeon. He joined All-​Star Orthopedics of Austin after moving from the Scott & White Health System in Round Rock where he practiced for 6 years. His fellowship was at Westpoint through the US Army with traveling rotations to Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS) in New York, NY and Steadman Hawkins Clinic in Vail, CO. This consisted of a year and a half of intense surgical training beyond orthopedic residency in arthroscopy, joint preserving osteotomies for limb malalignment, partial or unicompartmental arthroplasty, cartilage transplantation using both autologous chondrocyte implantation (ACI), and autologous osteochondral autograft transplantation (OATs). His expertise includes complex ligament reconstruction of the shoulder and knee, and treatment of sports injuries in competitive athletes at all levels.
