Dan’s Small Engine Repair

Always did perfect work for me. I left 7 or 8 small gas engines there through the years, and he always fixed them quickly and inexpensively. So I’m very sad that he seems to be closed up. The sign is gone and the phone doesn’t answer. So long Dan, you will be missed.

ZERO STARS. Do yourself a huge favor — DO NOT go here. Dan promised no more than a week when I dropped off my edger, and it turned into 3. He than called me at 4:55p on Friday to advise he was done and if I could be there in 10 min, I could get my edger. When I did pick it up on Monday, Dan had installed (without approval) an older used carb from another edger. It ran for approx 20 min before it completely died. When I went back to Dan, he did NOTHING. Said he didn’t know what I did to it when I left his shop. Completely moronic, incompetent and no clue what customer service looks like. I am out a 2 year old edger, $ 175 + the $ 60 for the ‘repair’ Save yourself time, frustration and $$. Find a reputable company that knows how to fix equipment and provides some level of customer service. I thought I was doing a good thing by supporting small local business, but Dan doesn’t have a clue…

Dan is a moron
In addition to having a rudimentary knowledge of small engines, his illiteracy does not allow him to learn from a schematic so as to fix a machine with which he is not familiar.
I dropped off a Hondo Harmony II, not an uncommon mower. Over the next EIGHT WEEKS he waited for one to come in so that he could use it as a model, even though I dropped off an expanded view.
After he spend TWO MONTHS not fixing my mower, he called every other day for me to pick it up.
DO NOT ever… EVER go to Dan’s Small Engine Repair.
Over priced, no respect for time, zero communication and truly stunning incompetence
