Friendly and super helpful staff. Replaced my busted rim with a great condition used one. Very affordable and friendly.

Cycleast is my go to bike shop in town. I’ve been riding for a long time and started going here because it’s close to my house in East Austin. After coming here occasionally for a couple years, I realize there’s a lot more to appreciate than just convenience. All the guys who work there are very nice and helpful, a refreshing contrast to the stereotypical surly bike mechanic. They also keep a well maintained stock of all kinds of bikes and parts, whether it be road, mountain, or cruiser style. A perfect example of why small, local business matter, and need your support!

Russell & crew can build up some pretty sweet rides, but their specialty is getting that old bike you’ve neglected operational pretty reasonably. They can routinely work up small miracles that save $$. Very knowledgeable and super friendly.

It was a really bad day. Pumped up my tires and road out to meet a group to ride around east Austin for EAST. Was enjoying a lovely cup of coffee at the start of the ride and a loud bang startled everyone. When I finally mosied over to my bicycle across the street, I found out that bang was my back tire exploding. Several guys got me fixed up enough to ride, but it was rough and I knew by the first stop I’d need to have someone fix the tire to continue. My friend suggested I ride up the road to Cycleast, saying they would take good care of me. AND THEY DID!
I love the guys here. They were quick, funny and good. They were thankfully able to take care of my bike right away. Showed me some affordable tires that have turned out to be super great considering they were only $ 20. Got my tires and tubes replaced and a couple of other things tweaked that apparently needed help. I was even shown what work I needed to have done before spring to keep my baby in perfect running condition.
And yes, it started to pour as they handed me my bike back. We all had a laugh when I realized it, but it was a much smoother ride out despite the rain.

Picked up our bikes 3 mins before closing time. Then we spent another ten minutes assembling our just-​purchased-​15-​mins-​ago bike rack on the back of our car. After the cycle east guy (Hunter?) closed up shop he came over and spent another five mins with us checking to make sure the straps were tight enough on the bike rack (which they were not) and getting us squared away to go home. Very friendly guys here and great customer service.

Our company was looking for folding bikes to use during ACL, and Cycleast was recommended time and time again by other local bike shop employees and owners as ‘their favorite bike shop in town’. We gave them a call, and they hooked us up with some amazing bikes for a great price! Russell and his whole staff were friendly, accommodating, and (most importantly) willing to put up with me trying to pay for this all remotely from my office in Los Angeles. Our crew in town picked up the bikes with no trouble, and the Cycleast crew was there to help explain how they worked and point out some handy local bike paths for them to use. Overall a fantastic shop with great people, would absolutely recommend them to anyone!

Bought a new groupset for my bike online and came to these guys to have it installed professionally. So glad I did. I dropped the bike off in the morning and they had it done before closing time, all on a Saturday! Very efficient and very reasonably priced. Called one of the big bike store chains in town when looking at shops and they estimated the work would take a week. Will be returning to Cycleast for all my bike repair/​maintenance needs in the future.

Great shop! Really appreciated they had the bike I was looking for, women’s-specific, and in my size — super smart ordering. I went to a couple of the bigger stores and struck out. Russell was great about making sure the bike fit well and that it was the right bike for me. NEW BIKE DAY!!! I’ll definitely be back for some of those custom wheels down the road! Highly recommend!

New saddle on the cheap. Bicicleta always rides 200x better after a trip to cycleast. Cannot recommend this place more.

I have been researching bikes for a while now. I came in for some info and ended with a purchase.
Everyone @ Cycleast has been amazing and I love my new bike. I am now ready for my new adventures on it!

Awesome bike shop! We’ve been looking for a great way to bike around with our 10 month old and Russell spoke with us about all of our options. (he himself has young twins he bikes around with!) We opted to go with the trailer for now, but we may switch to big dummy later.

By far the best bike shop in town! Got our bikes assembled and geared up for sxsw. The service is amazing — the nicest and thoughtful people work here. Definitely check it out if you need to give your bike some tlc.

I came in here mainly to ask some questions about a bike that I already have. I was really upfront about my questions and the fact that I wasn’t shopping that day for a new bike. Russell was extremely helpful and made it clear that even if I already owned a bike, his goal is to have me feeling good about it, fitted correctly, and happy cruising around whether I get any bike from him or not. He actually said pretty much those exact words. I can’t even say how impressed I was with not just his knowledge about brands, fit, etc… but his attitude was just generous and helpful in general. I’d recommend for sure!
