Courtyard Austin Northwest/Arboretum

Even though my stay was only two days, I know I will return to this hotel. Great location, close to shops, movies and food. The hotel looks great, nice lobby area and rooms. The fitness center is a little small, but typical for hotels of this size. I was very impressed when I returned one day and the front desk clerk greeted me by name. The rooms (at least the one I had) are clean and well maintained. Beds are comfy and good water pressure in the shower.

Front desk were very friendly and helpful. The beds were very comfortable. Location was great. Close to restaurants and shopping. The only complaint I have is the fitness center. One of the treadmills didn’t work and there are only two, and there were no amenities (towels, wipes, etc).

The front desk staff was nice. That is the only positive thing I can say about this hotel and this stay.
We arrived late (11:00pm). Parking is a joke. My daughter’s Accord will barely fit in a parking place. Not enough towels… when I called and requested a couple more, they didn’t bring them up, I had to go down and get them.
The room was clean but in disrepair. Water damage, holes, and mold on wall around window. The provided hairdryer sounded like it had gravel in it.
The beds were not comfortable. The special request foam pillows felt like bags of styrofoam pieces.
To top it all off, construction/​renovation began in the room over us while everyone was still sleeping.
Jacob, at the front desk at checkout, was very nice and apologetic… I am still exhausted.

Nice hotel for a weekend stay. Staff were friendly and hands down the best breakfast I’ve ever had at a hotel. Rooms were comfortable. They are going through renovations so you might have a thump or two during the day but how often are you in your room during the day? They use Paul Mitchell products for the bathroom. Overall a pleasant visit. Location is excellent for getting to 6^th street or UT.

Incredibly disappointed by the poor customer service on the part of this hotel. I realized after the fact that I was charged $ 104 for one night (the rate I saw quoted online) and the second night at $ 227. While I should have noticed the dramatic change in rates when booking the reservation, I missed it. And when I called the hotel today after the fact, they said because «it wasn’t their fault» there was nothing they could do. Such dramatic rate changes seem ridiculous… and are really easy to be slipped in when the quote is for the lower price. The ‘guest services representative’ (I believe her name was Anna) was very apologetic, but said the rates do shift their dramatically due to demand and the manager told her they couldn’t make any adjustment. It’s really too bad that they don’t think about the customer first at the hotel and are only in business to make a profit for a big corporation. Sad.

Not sure if this is the right Marriott. Phone in the room says 9409 Stonelake Blvd bit place looks the same as the photos. Nice Marriott. Has upgraded lobby that those who visit Marriott often will quickly recognize. Large rooms. A nice standard fair.

I was booked into this location because my room at the other Marriott property Residence Inn was canceled due to maintenance. This hotel does not usually honor the corporate rate I used when I booked the reservation, but the manager ensured the rate was honored at this Courtyard property. I was given the executive King room for the inconvenience and 5,000 rewards points. Very classy and good customer service here. The room was certainly nice and plenty of room for my family. The breakfast was excellent and the exercise room was good. I really appreciated the way I was treated and will be back here again when I am back in Austin!

I typically stay at Courtyards and the Stonelake location in Austin has the same quality standard as the rest. The front desk personnel are friendly, rooms are clean, and there is ample free parking. Another plus is the proximity of this Courtyard to Whole Foods and a strip mall with many different shops (in case you forgot to pack something essential).
The building does seem to be built under older codes (though renovated), and thus I could hear water running down the waste pipes every time someone flushed the toilet in the rooms above. It was no small noise either… Like a waterfall gushing behind the headboard. The first time I heard it I thought perhaps a pipe broke and any second waste water was going to start seeping onto my head. Thank goodness it was just the lack of sound insulation in the walls.
I would stay here in the future, though will request a top floor room next time.

Friendliest staff I’ve probably ever encountered. Always putting real, genuine and authentic customer service at their #1 priority.
Hotel is slightly older. Rooms can vary (some with no fridges, ac units vary, etc).
Great location right next to Whole Foods and restaurants. Overall 5 stars.

This is a typical Courtyard, added bonus as staff serve up a nice dose of Southern hospitality. The location is just minutes away from Arboretum and Domain and about 20 minutes from downtown. The room was great, everything clean. But for some reason I found the bed here wasn’t as comfortable as the bed at other Courtyard locations I’ve stayed at. Not sure why but that’s my only main comment.

I am not giving this establishment this ranking because their hotel was bad, it was a nice place, the reason for the rating is due to a double hold being placed on my debit card. I originally reserved the room on a Mastercard. Upon arrival the card was declined. I then paid on my Visa card and everything went well. Later on that evening I noticed that not only had my mastercard had a hold placed on it (the one that was declined) but my Visa had a charge as well.
My stay was on 2÷14−2÷15÷2015. The charge on my Visa card was eventually processed to the amount owed for the room, however it is now 18 days later and I still have a hold for $ 139.95 on my mastercard. I have attempted several times to contact the hotel, I even made them aware of the situation at the front desk upon checkout and although the manager, Lance, tried to assist, the hold still sits there to this day…18 days and counting. I am currently working with the GM, Aaron, and he has been very helpful. Overall very good customer service, it is just extremely frustrating having a hold of over $ 100 on my card for this long.
**UPDATE** After a long process of talking to everyone with Marriott it was discovered my bank was at fault and they were the ones holding my funds «hostage.»
I have updated my review to reflect this. Thanks to everyone at Marriott that helped resolve this.

Being a Marriott person, I have stayed at many Courtyard properties. This location is a mere 5 minutes from the shopping and dining at the arboretum and only 15 – 20 minutes from downtown depending on traffic.
I had a work conference in the area and my husband, the sweet guy that he is, decided to get me a room so that I wouldn’t have to fight traffic in the morning from Leander and could sleep in a bit. I drove over at about 10pm and all the spots were full so I had to park way in the back, which was by an entrance so it was fine. I already had my room key since my husband checked me in earlier, so I proceeded to room 105. I tried both of my keys and. nothing. I double checked the room number and knew it was the right one so I went to the lobby to get a different key. It was then I became aware that I was not at the Courtyard, but at the Residence Inn which is another Marriott property and directly the building behind the Courtyard where my one free parking spot was.
Feeling like a total genius I hauled my bag outside and walked back around to the lobby of the correct hotel, and like magic my keys worked! Thank goodness no one seemed to be in the first room I was trying to get into, and better yet, that I wasn’t successful. Although I’m sure it would have made for a great story.
The rooms here are nice with soft beds, a lounging area with a couch, and a desk area. I don’t have a full length mirror at home so it was great to be able to get ready in the morning with one. They also have the plastic bags I love in the closet for your dirty clothes. Staying in a hotel without my husband meant no fighting for the towels and washcloths too! I have a weird phobia of lying my toiletries on hotel surfaces so I like to set down washcloths everywhere for that purpose.
I was also pleased to see they had the food network channel, free Wi-​Fi, and a lobby bistro for my morning coffee. Forgetting that it was president’s day, I went downstairs at 6:30 to buy a cup and a snack but they were closed. There was a McDonald’s 5 minutes away though so I went there instead. It worked out because I got to move my car and found a spot directly in front of the hotel. The weather was nasty out so it saved me from having to walk all that way later once dressed up.
The woman at the front desk when I checked out was bubbly and sweet. I would for sure stay here again.

Very nice hotel! Updated and they even have snacks and drinks (including alcohol) for sale downstairs. They were over accommodating for the 3M Half. The start line was a block away. They went out and bought safety pins for all the runners since the race didn’t have any at packet pickup. They automatically allowed for late checkout (1pm) for all those who raced– for free. It was extremely nice and the area was great with plenty of choices for shopping and eating. The beds were super comfortable as well!

I had a very pleasant stay at the Courtyard for my trip to Austin. I will say that the facility isn’t as up to date as some of the others that I’ve been to but the friendly, young staff makes up for it. I also wanted to share a story that I had this morning that took me by surprise in a good way. I was rushing around trying to get ready to get out the door to the airport and discovered I only had decaf in my room (travesty for a woman such as myself) so I called down to the front desk to state my problem and ask if they could bring some regular up. The concierge apologized and said that they had run out yesterday but he would be happy to bring me up a Starbucks of my choice if I would just give him 10 minutes. It just goes to show that a little bit goes a long way– so thank you for making my morning and day of travel that much easier :).

Only stayed here Friday night. A good place to stay just outside of Austin and easy access to highways. We were 10 minutes away from the Bass concert hall and about 15 from Austin nightlife. Its a great location for restaurants and shops. A cool looking whole foods is right around the corner. We had the double bed room which these rooms do not come with a balcony. The sink was outside of the bathroom with a mirror and a full link mirror on closet doors which helps when you have more than 2 people staying. Guest service was fast when needed during our stay.

Easter weekend, two nights–
Got the room for $ 66 a night. King bed, big room, nice enough bathroom, balcony = Nice!!!
Sat morning we left out on our adventure around 10. Came back at 5 and our room hadn’t been touched. We attempted to get a nap in and 20 minutes in, yes, HOUSEKEEPING!!! I answered the door and she had a cell phone in her ear asking if we needed anything? WTH??? I said two towels and she left.
Sunday morning, 8 a.m. HOUSEKEEPING!!! Again with WTH, right? So much for sleeping in, eh?
Price was right. The room was right. The service, not so much. I’d stay again if I had to but there would strict adherence to the DO NOT DISTURB sign.

The customer service is exceptional at this hotel… pros: 3^rd & 4^th floor rooms are large and spacious. 1^st floor rooms are smaller. when you stay here ask for a room with a balcony.

Good location. Friendly customer service and clean indoor pools and gym. The room well maintained. Nearby major shopping mall. Only recommendation was easy to miss the turn into hotel. May wanted put a signed. Overall good place to stay.

Awesome staff. Location was nice. I really liked it here. I stay at Marriotts often and this one by far had some of the nicest people working. I was only there for a night but there is a little bistro café to eat and Starbucks as well.

I really liked this location. It’s near pretty much everything we need to get to. Lots of restaurants, shopping, and bars.
The room was decent sized with a king size bed, a couch that pulled out into a full mattress, a mini-​fridge, and a nice balcony facing out over some trees.
The updated inside is nice. The café is very cute and offers nice options on food. When the café is closed, there is a little store where you can buy some of the food from the café that has been pre-​made and refrigerated, or snacks like chips, etc.
There is an indoor pool and hottub, as well as a gym. We actually went down to the pool and enjoyed hanging out in there, although there is a huge window that faces into it from the elevators and single business men kept looking at us weird like, «Who has fun at hotels these days!?»
There is plenty of parking. Awesome security that requires a door card to get into the building at all. I like this hotel and recommend it for anyone on a business trip in this area, or who is visiting someone who lives in this area.
