Our food literacy curriculum, which is taught by professional chefs and educators, offers a healthy balance of all food groups, cooking techniques, seasonal eating, nutrition, safety and academic enrichment serving ages 4 – 13 in schools, community centers, churches and online.
The mission of Cook, Learn, Grow is to lead people to positive and healthy relationships with food through hands-on education while creating wholesome, delicious experiences.
Lori Hinze, recipient of the Walmart Teacher of the Year Award educator and chef graduate of The French Culinary Institute, NYC, believes that blending cooking and education teaches kids more than just how to prepare a meal. Cooking reinforces literacy, math, science, nutrition and social skills while exploring diverse foods.
