It feels a bit odd to me to give a review of my analyst on Unilocal!but if it helps someone else to find a great, caring, talented and amazing therapist then I am glad to help.
I saw Paul Compton for psychoanalysis and group psychotherapy. He is committed to his patients and to helping them uncover who they truly are, which is often deep, difficult, terrifying, exhilarating work. Paul is unusually gifted in his insights, as well as in training his patients to be their own analyst, dream analyzer, and parent. I can’t recommend him highly enough and if Unilocal offered 10 starts I would give that as my rating.
Regarding group psychotherapy, that was a great place to put my newly found skills from psychoanalysis to work in a safe setting. Absolutely fascinating and though i resisted joining for several years, once I did i could see my work accelerating. It is not easy, and it is very worthwhile. There are not very many things in my life I would describe as life-​changing, but my work with Paul is one of them.
