Clinical Pathology Laboratories

This location is close to my home, and I’ve been coming here often for the past few months. The wait time is definitely long, but that’s because the waiting room is always full. Lots of people = long wait time. I make sure to arrive with plenty of time to spare and the staff is always friendly.

I came here for some lab work on a Monday afternoon and I happened to be the only one here. I don’t think they take appointment so only walk ins. I first had to sign in at a computer kiosk and waited a few minutes before checking in at the front desk. The lady at the front desk was nice as she checked my information compared to the lab slip. I was immediately taken back after i checked in. The lab tech got my blood on the first time and it was pretty painless. The lab tech was really friendly and made this overall a pleasant visit.

Rude front desk staff but polite and capable phlebotomists. I had to remind them when it was time for each of my blood draws during a three hour glucose tolerance test. One phlebotomist clued me in to wait up at the front 5 minutes before it was time to have my blood drawn because otherwise the front desk would forget about me. The front desk would tell me to sit and wait each time, but I didn’t want to miss my window for a blood sugar reading. Will not return to this location.

Really very little good to say. Lazy rude incompetent staff. Long waits. No wireless. Very questionable cleanliness everything is fairly grimy and dusty. Basic courtesy is lacking I walked in and politely stood in line at the front desk and a lady loudly said from behind it «you have to check in at the kiosk!». Just unnecessary rudeness almost like these people should be correction officers. They clearly are over doing the same shit different day.

Very long wait– AVOID THIS LOCATION IF POSSIBLE– VERY LONG WAIT– I have to visit often at different times and consistently wait a very long time and treated rudely about it

The wait time is absolutely ridiculous. They know when their peak times are, but fail to staff appropriately. The James Casey location is not any better.

I recently went in to get my glucose test done and the girls there were so helpful. They explained how the process will work and what happens if I do not pass. Cross my fingers I pass.
They did not keep me waiting and they were very prompt. I had to wait an hr before my test could be done and they engaged in conversation which made me feel at home. All the workers seem to be having a good time and enjoying their day while working hard. We all know working 8 hrs a day is not easy and it is hard to keep that smile on our face. The workers here should get credit for all their hard work. I would recommend this location to any one in the area.

Nice location, they have updated. Repainted, new chairs, curtains around the draw chairs and the two guys that never did anything are finally gone. They finally brought over the bearded guy from James Casey and two new girls. All is good over here, my new favorite location.

I was shocked at the lack of professionalism and overall lack of customer service. I have never been treated in such an awful way at a healthcare facility, but this place just blew my mind. The tech was rolling his eyes and complaining about my doctors handwriting and had the worst attitude I have seen. If he was my employee I would have termed him or removes him from public interaction ASAP. The waiting room is awful too, chairs are all peely and it just looks dingy.

Grimy. Think 1960s bus station meets recovering crack house.
Desk staff are unfriendly and appear to think of customers as welfare nuisances. The para-​medics are occasionally good.
Is there a better place for routine blood work? Recommendations appreciated.

Horrible customer service. I approached the front desk to ask the secretary a few basic questions.
After not looking up to acknowledge me for a good 20 seconds, I said, «Excuse me miss, I have a few questions.»
She looked up at me like I had just asked her to come outside and move 100 boxes filled with cement blocks.
Sorry for asking you to do your job???
I asked my questions — she provided one word answers (that honestly were 0% relevant or helpful) and continued to have and impressively unprofessional attitude.
The only way this behavior could be somewhat understandable is if the lab was full of patients, phones ringing off the hook, etc. Unfortunately this wasn’t the case. There was one other patient in the waiting room who had already checked in, the other secretary wasn’t on the phone and the phones weren’t ringing.
I would only recommend this lab to those who enjoy being treated like dirt.

Very convenient location but the nurse refused to wait on my son because he was too young to draw blood with one person on staff. She was afraid he would throw a fit and she would prick herself. After my insistence that she try, she did agree and apologized for judging him. My issue was not the rule, but the delivery of it. It was a strange experience, and we might drive further to find a lab that can work better with young kids.

My new favorite CPL location, primarily because it has location, location, location!
Positives are friendly staff, and convenient parking. This location has recently gotten busier, so wait times have increased to as much as 45 minutes even in the middle of the day. But it’s still better than fighting the traffic on Ben White to get to the next closest CPL PSC.
My only regret is they don’t have Saturday hours, but this facility just isn’t large enough to handle the sheer volume of being the only South location on a weekend.
