Chef Gil’s Catering

Just tried some of Chef Gils cooking and wow! I had stuffed mushrooms, specialty meatballs and wings. Everything has so much flavor. For being catered there was no indication of any food being dry or over cooked. It was fresh and delicious. Working in the event industry I appreciate when catering is done right and they do it right on!

I have used Chef Gil for many events. He always is on time, and prepares the most delicious foods! He goes above and beyond with each event, and we will continue to use him for every event I plan!

Chef Gil has superior customer service with exquisite presentation and succulent taste. I visited Austin for my aunt’s 50^th bday celebration and hired Chef Gil for our Saturday night dinner. Gil Prepared our meal and everyone was in awe of his presentation and outstanding taste. I wish he was in Houston I would hire him each holiday. I give chef gil a perfect score! You will not be disappointed.

Chef Gil catered a wedding I coordinated. The food was amazing! The steak, chicken, asparagus-​everything was delicious. The staff was both extremely helpful and professional. I will highly and gladly recommend them!

We had the pleasure of working with Chef Gil for our wedding. We were really impressed with the amount of attention and responsiveness Chef Gil provided throughout the planning process. He custom tailored a meal for our guests based on our interests and what WE enjoyed. This is a much more personal experience than going with other caterers who have static menu options to choose from.
Chef Gil also was incredibly reasonable in his pricing plans. Last minute changes to our meal plan (adding different types of glassware, etc) were not an issue. Everything turned out great.
He’s an independent, local chef who will work with you to create a great meal your guests will remember forever — what’s not to love?

We hired Chef Gil Catering for a few of our board meetings and personal outings when I was the manager for a national nonprofit organization and the food & service was incredible! He made sure to arrive early every time and assist with setup and organization of the meals. He also made sure all of my questions and concerns were answered before leaving. We had quite a few board members rave about the food each time, which made me realize he was definitely the right man for the job. The best dish from EVERYONE was the mixed greens salad with homemade strawberry vinaigrette! Delicious! I had such a wonderful experience with Chef Gil that he has already been hired on as our caterer for my upcoming wedding of 200. I have no doubts he will live up to our expectations as he has already done so in the past. Keep up the great work Chef Gil!

We gave Chef Gil an opportunity, but were wrong in doing so. We were highly disappointed in the lack of honesty and professionalism. I would not recommend him or his «business» to anyone. He tried to get more money than agreed upon and there are too many other caterers that have integrity in the Austin area for anyone to have to resort to Chef Gil Catering.
If you’re looking for a caterer for something as special as your wedding reception, I suggest you look elsewhere. We ended up going with an amazing company that we surely will not regret. You can look at my other reviews to see which company my fiancé adored.
