There is no reason why any business owner should be that rude to any customer bringing them business. Yes, the man in charge is a racist who openly insults anyone he wishes to. He sells alcohol to minors which doesn’t help the neighborhood crime problem at all. If you have any self respect than please try to avoid giving this place your business.

Reading the reviews and seeing others posts. I feel I have to write a review as well. Eddie the store owner owns a liquor store just east of 35 off Braker where there is crime, robberies and a lot of criminal mischief. He is protecting his business as well as trying to remain family owned. I apologize for any bad experiences incurred while visiting this store but you have to look at the bigger picture. For the review of the photographers. I’m sure he was just being cautious of his surroundings. To the other stating about the issue of time. Yes. Business hours are posted on door. Just because the lights are on does not mean he is open And because people are there of «his culture«doesn’t mean he is racist or only accepting business from them. They are business partners and don’t have to leave at posted time. Not to mention it’s always nice to have added security around closing hours. Eddie has always been helpful to me. Has found my hard to find bottles and always professional. Giving his line of work it’s not easy trusting everyone who walks in your door. So being cautious and on guard is the way to go to someone who deals in mostly cash. Not to mention it’s never a good thing to be known as a friendly push over liquor store owner. So when reading reviews keep in mind the type of business your reading about and the people who go there.

I don’t get what all the bad reviews are about. This place is quaint and doesn’t look like much from the outside, but I find their selection to be better than average. In fact, I was able to buy a bottle of Old Charter Ten Year for about $ 30.00. FYI, this bourbon, in the Buffalo Trace line, doesn’t exist anymore! You won’t find it anywhere! Yes, it’s a TINY bit more expensive than, say, Spec’s or Twin Liquors. However, this is a local and family owned neighborhood liquor store so I’m willing to overlook the higher than average price range for that reason. Eddie, the owner, is a swell dude and always greets people cheerfully. I like this place and I’ll keep going. My only complaint is that they’d stock some lemon and lime juice for my Gin & Tonics. Some bitters would be nice also. Other than that, it’s a fine store with a fine selection.

DONOTVISITTHISSTORE.!! Store owner is extremely racist, just as posted previously. It is EXTREMELY rare that I leave reviews, but I simply couldn’t let this go. My sister and I walked into the store, and immediately the store owner literally screamed at us «DOYOUKNOWWHATTIMEITIS!!!». I had no clue what he was talking about… he repeated himself twice and said that he wasn’t going to get a 10,000 dollar fine because of me. I told him what I needed was directly behind him, and I would be out in 30 seconds. Meanwhile two other people walk in, of his ethnicity, and he said nothing. He proceeded to murmur slurs under his breath and I then told him never mind, I didn’t need my goods anymore… i didn’t want to spend money at his establishment. My transaction receipt printed, so I know it was already too late. I grabbed my bottle and he then SCREAMED at me to get out, and literally ran around the counter as if he was going to physically remove me… although I was already walking out. He chased my sister and I out, screaming racial slurs to us in the parking lot… then he went back to help the two people, after 9:00pm. Please, do not patronize this store. There is no excuse for racism.

Racist store owner harassed us because my ethnicity is different from my friend. Visit Rundberg Ln for a much better experience. Do not support such business owners please.

Stay out of this liquor store! My friend and I went into Cheers located at 900 E Braker Ln Ste 102. We are both photographers and were in search of unique bottled beverages to photograph for a beverage shoot we were doing in a couple of days. We entered the store and were the only ones inside other than the store keeper. My friend was standing at the counter looking at the smaller bottles located on the back wall and I was looking at a really cool Vodka bottle when the very rude and very creepy store owner demanded that we leave! We had only been inside for maybe 3 minutes before he said something to us. We had cash in hand ready to make a purchase! If this is how you treat your customers then just put a closed sign on the door and«play store» with some monopoly money. My friend lives off Braker and is passing the word along to stay away from this store! That clerk should be fired or at least trained on how to wait on customers!!!
