Specialties

Caring Transitions of Austin specializes in assisting seniors when they must relocate or downsize their households due to a life changing event. All of us have experienced the challenge of having to move our parents or grandparents and wished there was a company out there that could help. That is exactly what Caring Transitions does. We do everything that the movers don’t do — everything from sorting and organizing belongings and packing/unpacking boxes to floor planning the new home and holding an estate sale after the move. We handle all of the move details so your family can focus on what is most important — an easy transition for your loved ones.

History

Established in 2014.

Years ago when my grandmother, «Mimi», downsized from her home in Freeport to an assisted living community in Corpus Christi I wished there were someone outside the family who could help. My parents, brother and I spent days driving loops between Austin, Houston, Freeport and Corpus Christi just taking care of packing, shipping, unpacking and then deciding what to do with all the things that a person acquires over eight decades of life. The family found itself buried in the details of moving and we lost sight of the most important thing — helping Mimi adjust to unfamiliar surroundings.

When I first heard of Caring Transitions I immediately recalled all of the challenges that we faced during that difficult time and knew that this company could have helped. I opened the doors on April 1 and am very excited to bring our services to families in Austin and throughout Central Texas.

Meet the Business Owner

Jeff P.

Business Owner

In case you are curious and wish to know a little about me before you trust me with your personal belongings, here’s some background. I was born and raised in Corpus Christi with one brother and loved fishing, golf and soccer. I still play golf and men’s league soccer and drive my family to the coast quite often to fish and visit my parents and my wife’s mother there. My wonderful wife, Angela, is a commercial interior designer and we have two beautiful children — Lauren is 9 and James is 6. We make southwest Austin our home and seemingly spend all of our time driving the kids to soccer, Scouts, camps, doctors, Academy, dentists, school events, non-school events, the ER, Whataburger and everywhere in between.

After graduating from TCU my career has mostly been in corporate IT and AV sales. This is my first shot at owning a business and I’m very excited to be on this adventure while serving your elderly loved ones during a time of need!
