Meet the Business Owner

James Shaw I.

Business Owner

James M. Shaw was born in Refugio, Texas and grew up in Rockport-​Fulton on the Texas Coast. Shaw is the founding shareholder of Carabin & Shaw P.C. He was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in 1992. He received his Bachelors Degree in Business and Finance from St. Mary’s University in 1989 and his Law Degree from the University of Loyola in 1992.

Shaw is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the Association of Trial Lawyers of America; the American Association for Justice and a Fellowship Member of the Texas Trial Lawyers Association.

Shaw has served as the managing partner of the Carabin & Shaw Law Firm since 1992 and has assisted and/​or overseen the recovery of over 150 million dollars of personal injury settlements and/​or recoveries.

Shaw concentrates his legal practice on auto accident cases, trucking accidents, motorcycle accidents, wrongful death cases and personal injury cases.
