Delicious hand crafted lattes. Great service. Made it exactly the way I requested. My wife had a special request and she raved about it. Will definitely try it again the next time we visit Austin.

Second best espresso in Austin! They have a great interior space as well, so it is perfect if you are meeting people, need to study, or need to work. I bought their tumbler and it keeps my coffee warm for like four hours!!!

I’ve been here a few times and their coffee is just alright, not any much better than a gas station and ridiculously priced. They only make small sizes, which is hard to justify for the $ 4 – 5 for some coffee. Had a dirty chai and it had no espresso, zero chai taste, and I’m pretty sure I just got a cup of cold milk.

If I attended college at the UT, this would have been my home away from home… however, I’m definitely no longer a college student, but at the current moment, I’m hanging among the college crowd. This café is full of desks, comfy chairs, BUT not outlets for your devices. Those are far and few between, so come here fully charged if you have a device. That being said, this place is totally an awesome place to study, read, and catch up with a friend. Noise level is average, so if you need complete quiet, it may not work for you. However, wear your BOSE headphones like I am; and it pretty much drowns out the noise. Coffee is average prices – same as a Starbucks. However, yesterday I got a gluten free pop tart(OMG, totally delish) but it was a whooping $ 5.15!!! That was shocking. Overall, I really enjoy the location and the coffee(americanos are what I’ve bought both days) have been awesome. I’d recommend!

Love this café! I’m all about coffee, this is a good change of pace from the normal Starbucks routine. The café is huge, nice areas to sit and people watch(or homework or work.) coffee is delicious! Really great service as well.

This is a great little café right off of the UT Austin campus. We stopped in here on a sunny Saturday afternoon looking for a cold beverage and cool place to drink it, and we found both. I tried their cold brew and my boyfriend had a Topo Chico. The cold brew was great; strong and flavorful, exactly what I needed, and for a fair price. The space itself is two-stories, and we sat on the ground floor near the cash register. It seems like a great place to hang out and get some work done if you’re a student or you live nearby. The barista was friendly, and overall we had a good experience at this coffee shop.

Seriously the best coffee I’ve had so far. I really love that they make their caramel in-house, which gives their caramel latte super delicious. I mainly just order caramel lattes whenever I stop by, iced or hot. If you’re a coffee lover who appreciates good coffee and a good atmosphere to study/work, definitely stop by. And if you do go often, ask for a punch card.

When I asked where I may recycle my JuiceLand bottle(purchased onsite just 20 minutes prior) I was told, «Oh, we don’t recycle here, you can just throw it away.» «Why don’t you recycle?» I asked. «Cost» was the answer. I pressed the issue, «Because of the volume we do here, and customers will throw glass in the trash.» He told me. This customer cares about the planet and would not have thrown my recyclables away. It’s unconscionable that a business in Austin, TX, in this day and age willfully contributes to the destruction of the environment in order to save a few bucks.

The 4 stars are for the ambience mostly and not so much the coffee! Their coffee is 3star coffee — not great but gets the job done! I got the London fog and my friend got an Americano. Their house blend is a little weak and the Americano could’ve used more punch but it was good nonetheless. The London fog isn’t on the menu but they’ll gladly make one for you! And I was even given the choice of a non-vanilla steamer, so be sure to ask the barista! The second floor is warm, collegiate, stacked with some interesting books and very plush couches — lots and lots of couches, some by the window(which I obviously occupied cuz I needed an instaworthy moment) and they even have college style desks and metal chairs which add hella character! It’s also right by the beautiful 23rd graffiti section which is near some food trucks, bang in west campus of UT so during the semester I’m sure you’ll be surrounded by college kids which can be good or bad depending on what you need! The WiFi is pretty fast so it’s a good place to get work done too!

C’mon, fix your wifi. Pros: The coffees here are somewhat decent, plenty of tables to get work done. Cons: No parking, wifi is very spotty and slow. They always manage to run out of some of the more specialty single origin beans for some reason too. Unless you’re a UT student, there’s better places to go.

Their service is always awesome and people are so helpful when you’re a noob at ordering real coffee and not Starbucks. Wih that being said, the person helping me recommended an iced caramel latte because of my liking sweet and creamy iced coffee. ITWASPERFECT. So so perfect. Beat iced coffee I’ve had in a while, and I drink a lot of iced coffee.

If you either: a) have a car b) have patience c) are not a UT student or employee I would not recommend coming here. It is indeed a nice coffee shop, but the prices have been steadily creeping up over the year and are now off the charts(a small iced coffee will cost you $ 4!!). There are certainly lots of good things about this place — there’s plenty of seating, wi-fi is reliable, and the coffee is definitely above average — but I still consider the prices a bit unconscionable. If it weren’t for the prices, this would be a nice place to sit down and get work done. They also sell Tacodeli tacos in the morning(which sell out roughly around 11 – 11:30), which is a nice touch.

Excellllllent. One of the best cappuccinos I have ever had. The baristas are pretty knowledgeable and the atmosphere is nice with plenty of seating room. I love going upstairs to sit in either their comfy couches(to relax) or one of their many, many tables(to study). My one gripe is that occasionally the music tends to get a little loud.

Solid café. I’m in town for a short bit, and dropped in for some coffee and wifi. It was a bit hard to find a table, but the one I found was right near an outlet, and the wifi signal seemed good as any. The barista behind the counter was really friendly, and I had virtually no wait time — not sure if I came at a lull in the day, but really pleased with that. The iced coffee I ordered tasted great, and fit my needs for caffeine. The pastry I got was nothing out of the ordinary, but still good despite the lack of selection for the afternoon. The only complaint I had was on how hard it was to find a good seat, and it seemed like this wasn’t even a peak time for Caffe Medici. That being said, great ambiance, the prices weren’t too steep, and it seems like a great spot for students(and visitors!) to hang out for awhile.

There are so many coffee shops in Austin, but Caffe Medici will always be my favorite. Perhaps it’s because it’s within walking distance to campus, or because the background noise upstairs is just right for long study sessions and coffee dates alike, or that they serve their coffee in proper coffee mugs with pretty art in the foam, I’m not entirely sure. Yes it is expensive, yes it gets super busy, but they make their almond lattes right, and they serve taco deli tacos.

Oh my goodness… I should have taken a video to show the dilly-dallying of the barista from the time we placed our order to our cortado’s being ready. The set up is very spacious and I love the upstairs environment. I had to move tables because of a light that mimics a strobe light that points down to the table. Overall the environment is better than the service… and this darn light. This review is only for this location.

Great coffee, cool atmosphere. Not the most comfortable seating for a coffeehouse, i.e. the old-school metal chairs and desks

I work at UT and it makes finding a good cup of coffee kind of difficult. On campus we’re pretty limited to one chain and sometimes I want a well-pulled espresso drink and they just don’t cut it. Caffe Medici, however, is AMAZING! They use quality beans, the baristas know how to work their machines and are always friendly and fun to talk with. I always get the caramel latte. Primarily because they make the caramel syrup in house and it adds just enough sweetness without being sickly sweet to make for a perfect, flavorful cup. No burnt finish, just a perfect balance of coffee, milk and syrup. They have Rockstar Bagels, which is really nice and some other pastries. But let’s be honest, it’s about the coffee here, and they know what they are doing! Thank you Caffe Medici for bringing some quality coffee to the campus area.

I had mixed feelings about my first(and only) visit here. After a cold, gray, drizzly day of touring campus, this place looked like it would hit the spot. Unfortunately, it didn’t. When you walk in, you know it is definitely a university hangout for studying, homework, and just vegging, which is great. I decided on a dirty chai(hot because I was cold) and for the 12oz size it came to almost $ 6?! I was honestly taken aback. I have had many a dirty chai and for the small size it is usually under or around the $ 4 mark. The only time I have paid $ 5 for a dirty chai was when it was blended with TWO shots. Which brings me to my other sort of «ummmok?» thing about this place… they don’t have a blender, so you cannot get blended drinks. The barista informed me its because they are not Starbucks and with the noise level of blenders it would harsh the places mellow vibe. Ok, I get that and it’s fine, except for I could get a much better dirty chai(the chai had absolutely no flavor to it) at Starbucks for about $ 1.50 less, blended. But, maybe dirty chai isn’t their«gig». So why the 3-stars? The service saved this place from the 2-star bottom of the barrel. Both of the baristas were very nice and accommodating and though I did not enjoy my chai, the free mocha latte we ended up getting(the barista made this by mistake instead of the hot chocolate my friend ordered) was delicious, well made, and the foam art was amazing! I don’t ever see myself coming back here again, but I always like to experience the local vibe and I definitely got that at this campus location.
