Specialties
We specialize in real pit barbque. Brisket, bonless chicken, Elgin sausage, pork ribs, pork loin, and smoked catfish are the meats that we have. We also are the only barbque restaurant in central Texas that serves, as standard, a 3 meat catering. Brisket, chicken, and sausage, delivered and served for only $ 9.00 per person.
History
Established in 1994.
We began in Dec. 1994 and our first catering was for 700 people. Since then we have catered all over Central Texas. Our instore business has grown as well. We are on a first name basis with many of our loyal customers. In 2007, I partnered with some friends and opened the first true Texas BBQ restaurant in San Jose, Costa Rica.

MEET THE PITMASTER
My name is Chris Carby, and I have been in foodservice most all of my adult life. Beginning in 1982, I was the general manager of The Texas Tumbleweed. In 1988, I began working for Sysco Food Services as a sales rep. In December 1994, my journey with BRANCH BBQ began. With the help and support of my wife Catherine, our first catering was the grand opening of Ropers Night Club. We catered 700 people that night. We haven’t looked back since. We have catered schools and universities, weddings and funerals, birthday parties, and even a wild bunch or two. We have traveled all over central Texas bringing BBQ to our customers. In 2007, an old friend came by and asked if we could help him start a restaurant. It sounded like an interesting proposition and our next adventure began. In November of 2007, Catherine and I traveled to San Jose, Costa Rica. We brought the first and only real TEXAS BBQ to that country. The restaurant is called THE TEXAS BBQ Co.
