Bee Well Pediatrics provides comprehensive care for patients from newborn to age 18. Our board-​certified pediatricians provide well checks, sick visits, daycare and sports physicals, ADHD evaluation and management, immunizations and more. A full-​time certified lactation consultant is always in-​house as well as Graham, our certified Pet Therapy dog, who helps make your child’s visit fun. We are located in Upland Village shopping center, central to Lake Travis ISD, with a pediatric dentist, general dentist, and compounding pharmacy.

History

Established in 2013.

Dr. Jessica Morgan and Dr. Suzanne Van Benthuysen started Bee Well Pediatrics in 2013 with the goal of providing patient– and family-​centered care that incorporates the most effective and safe strategies from traditional and alternative medicine. Dr. Morgan has a strong interest in preventative health and is currently pursuing graduate education in nutrition so that she may better educate her patients and families. Dr. Van Benthuysen, certified lactation consultant and mother of two, is passionate about helping new mothers achieve their breastfeeding goals.

I have felt completely supported as a new breastfeeding mother by Dr. Van. She was especially helpful when my little guy began displaying symptoms of food allergies and helped us to alleviate his discomfort.
I feel that my lil guy and I are genuinely cared for and not just herded through.

We LOVE the doctors and staff here! We’ve been with Bee Well since our son was born and have seen both Dr. Van & Dr. Morgan. We’ve changed insurance, and even moved across town to Cedar Park but we still make the drive to see Dr. Van! When born my son was born her was a bit jaundice and I was determined to get him back to normal without supplementing formula. Being a lactation consultant as well, Dr. Van put together a breastfeeding schedule/​régime in order to flush my son’s system and help him get back to his birth weight and more within the first week! Her caring demeanor, knowledge, and support gave me confidence in my breast feeding abilities! Now at 15 months, my son is still breastfeeding strong in addition to eating table food.
I always feel confident in both doctors’ decisions and recommendations for my son.
Their facility is beautiful, inviting and clean (even with Graham the mascot therapy dog!).
We will continue to recommend others and stay with Bee Well for our son and any of our future children!

We transferred to this practice after we had come to see them for a second opinion for our one month old daughter after she had been dealing with reflux that had been constantly called colic from our prior pediatrician. After that first visit we fell in love with the doctors. They are both very caring and super attentive they answer text messages, they never treat you like an overanxious first time parent like in other practices and they always provide with extra information and useful resources. They are absolutely amazing and their staff is super friendly! If you are looking for a pediatrician for your kid this is the place trust me you will not regret it. Also another plus is that dr. Van is also a lactation consultant and was very understanding of our lactation issues and was very helpful.

I honestly don’t like writing reviews for professional services like medical practices because I don’t think that’s what Unilocal is really meant for. If a DR has to give you bad news, they shouldn’t be Unilocaled for it, etc. Also, I REALLY don’t have time to be writing, but baby is asleep so– all that said– I’m so impressed so far with Bee Well that here I am writing a review.
We were unhappy with the turn and burn care at our pedi when my new baby started to have feeding issues. So we looked around and I decided to check out DR Van since she is both a pedi and an LC. I called– SHE answered the phone and listened to me discuss what was happening. I have been (and am still) a mess about what’s going on with my daughter’s needs so getting to talk to the DR was so helpful. I got in quickly after that and now we are new patients. At my first visit DR Van listened to my baby’s life story intently and carefully considered all the factors. I left with an email summary of everything DR Van and I discussed (because I have a huge to do list for baby’s care) and I felt listened to for the first time since our troubles started. It’s a drive for us but we will be happy to make it to have a DR that cares enough to take time with our kids.

Wonderful doctors! All 3 of my kids see both Dr Morgan and Dr Van. They have an adorable waiting room which my kids love to play dress up. Graham the therapy dog is so gentle and is wonderful with kids. Each doctor has her touch and knowledge that only makes this practice heart felt and a gentle place to be. Plus I just love how it smells so clean! As a doctor myself I find great joy coming here and recommending families in my practice to see the pediatricians at Bee Well Pediatrics. Trust me you will love them!!!

We moved out to the Lakeway area and our old pediatrician was just too far of a drive for us, so we needed to find a new one asap when our 15 month old started getting sick again and again. Dr. Morgan not only saw us immediately, but she continued to provide unbelievable care, referring us to specialists and others as necessary. She called on the weekends, even came in on a Saturday, all just to check on our little guy! At his well visit, she spent 45 minutes with us, discussing everything under the sun about his development and such. You can tell it’s not just a «next patient» type of practice– they do care. Their service dog, Graham, is the cutest golden retriever ever, and my son just loves him. The entire staff is knowledgeable and love kids, and the office is clean, well planned out, and fun for the littles. If you’re looking for a new pediatrician, or to make a switch, I highly recommend them.

We love Be Well Pediatrics! It has taken a while to find a pediatric practice in Austin since we relocated here, but we’ve been coming to Be Well since their opening week in Oct. 2013 and have been nothing more than impressed. In general, our kids are pretty healthy, but when I’ve had questions I’ve gotten quick correspondence back from Dr. Morgan. They’ve also bent over backwards to work with our insurance issues and to make referrals when we’ve needed them. Their office and staff are warm and caring, and there’s also a huge Golden Retriever therapy dog that my daughter loves to see when we come visit… she now equates «going to see the doctor» with «going on a long drive to play with the big dog». Works for me. Everything from waiting areas to exam rooms and restrooms are sparkling and modern. And an added bonus is that Dr. Van is also a lactation consultant, she’s grounded and approachable and will give you tips on how to use breastmilk’s healing properties. Highly recommend.

I was so impressed with Dr. Van and her staff. Besides treating the child, she encourages research and education for the parents — evidenced by her extensive lending library. I happen to be very demanding of the HCPs I choose for my family. They have to be professional, well-​read, compassionate, up-​to-​date, open-​minded and they have to know how to listen. Pretty rigorous standards… and Dr. Van and her team exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend Bee Well Pediatrics!

We began seeing Dr. Van and Dr. Morgan about a month ago and couldn’t be happier! The office is clean, inviting and stimulating for children. They take walk-​ins, which has been extremely helpful and convenient for us. The staff is small and friendly, and the physicians take the time to explain their thinking and answer any questions you might have. Visits from the therapy dog, Graham, are an added bonus. Even if he’s going for shots, my son still loves spending time here. He enjoys the books, puzzles, upside down mirror, beads and dress up area. I love that the doctors are excellent, there’s never a long wait and my son thinks that going to the doctor is fun!

I took my 9 year old son to Bee Well Pediatrics for ADHD treatment. The office was impeccable and the staff was warm and friendly. My kids even got to have a visit with their therapy dog, Graham, who was so gentle and calm. We met with Dr. Van Benthuysen, who goes by Dr. Van, and she took time to read through my son’s previous medical records. She gave my son the most thorough evaluation I have ever seen done by a Pediatrician. Most doctors just talk about the symptoms, but she did some neuro and motor functioning evaluations and then spent time explaining the pro’s and con’s of various medications. She plans to follow him closely until we arrive at a treatment that works for my son and our lifestyle. Definitely a 5 Star experience!
