Great service. I am a seasoned home buyer and have closed/​refinanced atleast 10 times. So I have been through it, know the different issues to look at. Its great to have someone that is personable, responsive, and eager to explain. Jason is all of this. So 1^st time buyers should look to Jason as he can guide you through a somewhat complicated process.
Its great to have everything above, but after the 10^th time, its all about the numbers to me. I had a complicated need and closed on 6 separate properties ALL at the same time.
I compared rates from local bankers, regional bankers and no one had close to the same terms/​rates.
He will be the first person I will talk to when I have another opportunity open up.

I got bids from several loan originators. Jason beat most by about $ 1k for a given rate. One originator edged him out slightly, but I got the impression that my odds with Jason were better to close and to close on time, and that we did. I think the other mortgage broker was an established high volume broker that relied less on making each loan go thru.
I had never taken out a loan before, so I gave the other bidders a chance to explain to me if there were any advantages of their original loans I had overlooked or caveats in Jason’s that I had missed. One broker told me she couldn’t beat his package. Low and behold another lender answered with a much more competitive offer than originally provided. I got the used car salesman vibe from the other guy and respected that Jason offered a great package from the get-​go. Jason struck me as someone I’d be better off putting my trust in. Some lenders can afford to miss out of a commission, but the stakes for the borrower are much higher– missing out on that home you spent months to find. PRE-​APPROVAL IS NOT A GUARANTEE YOU’LL GET FUNDED.
Jason kept me abreast on various milestones and we were funded several days before we needed to be, so stress never got high.
I’m surprised this is the first Unilocal review for BCL, but search on Zillow and you’ll see they’re established enough to have 79 reviews (at time of writing. All seemingly positive reviews). Also interesting is that the most reviewed Austin Mortgage broker on Unilocal (133 reviews) only has 10 reviews on Zillow. Snowball effect? I digress…
Engage BCL at the very least. You’ll probably end up doing business with them, closing on time with minimal stress, and saving a bunch of money in the process.
