I don’t know how I haven’t rated Josh yet, since he has not only been my wedding photographer (complete with engagement photos) but has also done head shots for me twice and a set of family photos. He will forever be my one and only photographer.
I cannot say enough amazing things about Josh and his team. I am constantly referring AzulOx Visuals to friends (and they of course book with him – I have four friends now who have signed him on as their wedding photographer, as well).
Josh is professional without being stuffy and every single time we take photos with him we feel at ease. He always has a vision in mind and we look forward to many, many for photo opps with him in the future!

Josh, you are an angel and for that I am writing a review ahead of time just based on my experiences so far. I had booked them for my October wedding for video, and my photographer just filed bankruptcy… I called in near tears to see if I could book him for photography as well and he worked out a deal for me that just made my day. I love his style and can’t wait to move forward with my special day knowing that I will not have to deal with a shady company and instead someone who believes in true customer service and is a great family person and takes great pictures from what I have seen!

I have been lucky enough to work with AzulOx Photography both Professionally and as a client. Family shoots, Weddings, Creative shoots; photography and video… There’s nothing they can’t do. Josh Baker is entirely talented with both vision and photography. Lighting and colors just pop when he and his crew are at the helm. I highly recommend AzulOx Photography for ANY occasion.

I met Josh through the wedding industry. In a very short notice, he was able to accommodate my family’s photo shoot. We received the photos the same night. He is beyond talented and a ball of fun. We strongly recommend him.

Josh is absolutely amazing! We went with AzulOx for all of our wedding photography needs — bridals, engagements, and wedding ceremony/​reception and were blown away! Everybody that has seen our pictures can’t help but comment on the quality of the photography and how wonderful everything turned out — the other vendors that I used (hair, makeup, jewelry, venue, etc.) were all just as amazed as we were, which says something since they see a lot of their work in photography of other brides, and some of them have even started using him for their advertising. I’ve worked with a few photographers, but Josh’s skill with lighting and being able to see things from unique angles that will make you look spectacular definitely puts him in a class of his own. Most people don’t know how to position themselves to get the best portrait (chin up, shoulder back, etc.) and not every photographer is good at giving you this direction, however this is one of Josh’s strengths. He is so creative and talented at what he does and knows how to make you look amazing. My bridals are absolutely stunning. He made me feel and look like a model. The venue that we took them at has even decided to use them in their marketing!
For our engagement pictures, we decided to do something a little off the beaten path and went with an Indiana Jones — themed action photo shoot, which was perfect for our personality and a spot-​on suggestion from Josh. Josh had all of the scenes already sketched out and planned beforehand, so he was able to guide us through his vision and all we had to do was show up and have the time of our lives! The pictures are incredible — everybody that has seen them talks about how unique and fun they are (not the mention the picture quality) and we love that we did something so different and have this awesome memory together.
Our experience with him at the wedding and reception was excellent as well — he took so many amazing pictures of us without us even noticing and was always right there when the important things were happening. During our family portraits, he did a great job of managing the requests of our more «particular» family members and kept it within a reasonable timeframe so we could get back to enjoying the party! He also made sure to tell us when it was time to get some sunset pictures, and found the perfect location for them at our venue (which apparently, nobody had done before). On top of being an exceptional photographer and true professional, Josh is a wonderful person and stand-​up guy. He is honest, fun, flexible, easy-​going, knows how to make you feel comfortable, and will make sure you have an experience you will be thrilled with. We highly recommend him for any of your photography needs!

I worked with Josh in March of this year and have nothing but great things to say. As a coordinator, it is my responsibility to work with vendors and ensure they are up to speed on the timeline as well as what comes next. Josh and his second shooter were so easy to work with. When I gave 10 minute warnings, they immediately jumped to action with their equipment and set up for the next ‘activity’. Also, they captured the wedding really well. Sometimes, I’ll see photos that don’t reflect the wedding well. AzulOx nailed it and my client was very happy.
Summary– great mix of personal and professonal, responsible, polite, and takes great photos!

My family has used Josh at AzuleOx on two separate occasions for family portraits. He is a master of not only the technical side of photography but also the softer side of capturing the unique personality of his subjects. He turns his session into what is normally scripted and formal into something that is actually fun. He’s also a pretty swell running-​event picture taker and can make even the most exhausted runner looks like an Olympic champion.

Josh did an engagement session for my husband and I and if he can make me look good in photos then he can do magic. The color, clarity, and arrangements were beautiful. He is really low-​key, flexible, and easy to work with. His pricing is reasonable as he just charges for his time. Then you get the DVD of all the photos for you to do as you please. I.e. no more picking out which photo package you want to buy when really you only need a couple printed which can be done at the local walgreens or online.
Take a look at his pictures online and call him to talk about what you are looking for. Our shoot was pretty traditional but he threw in some artsy-​er arrangements that are gorgeous and I know he would have shot anything we asked beyond that too… well maybe not anything…
Oh, and make sure to ask him what a snail says riding on a turtle.
