History

Established in 2002.

AWS Communications was founded in May of 2002 and began providing high speed wireless Internet access to South Austin Business and South Rural Texas on Sept. 11, 2002.

AWS Communications is headquartered in Austin, Texas, and has grown into a complete Internet Access Provider, performing quality installations and services such as inter-​office wireless networking solutions. To accomplish this, AWS Communications has developed business relationships with leading edge suppliers who contribute to the high quality of our existing product offerings.

Bobby M.

Business Owner

Bobby McClung, joined the AWS team in January 2012, assuming the role of Chief Executive Officer. A 16 year veteran of the Internet Services and Broadband Communications industries, Bobby was a pioneer in delivering fixed wireless broadband communications technologies to rural and underserved markets.

Bobby McClung is Mayor Pro Tem and has served on the City Council for the City of Blanco, Texas since 2004.

McClung also currently serves as Organizational Representative for the State of Texas for WISPA (Wireless Internet Service Providers Association.
