Kathryn Alexander is a premier personal trainer who specializes in exercise program design and instruction that is based on science, experience, and the client’s goals. Services include one-on-one personal training, pairs training, small group training, and exercise program design for those who are out of town or do their work at home. All clients will receive a tailor made workout program that will take into account the individual’s goals, personality, motivational style, and other weekly activities. Optional assessments to track fat loss or change in lean mass are available to clients at no additional charge.
History
Established in 2011.
As a certified personal trainer since 2005, Kathryn has worked in a variety of fitness settings and gyms. In 2011, she began training clients at Hyde Park Gym, a locally owned and operated gym in Austin, TX. Hyde Park Gym is made of a very diverse clientele and welcomes all.

Business Owner
Kathryn Alexander earned her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Louisiana State University, and her Masters Degree in Exercise Physiology from the University of Texas at Austin. During graduate school, she was a teaching assistant in the departments of Kinesiology & Health Education, and Human Ecology, where she taught an anatomy lab and assisted with nutrition courses. She is certified through the National Academy of Sports Medicine as a Performance Enhancement Specialist.
She has worked in racquet clubs, commercial gyms, and a university rec center, and has designed group exercise classes and educational seminars. From these experiences, she has developed a strong background in the science, nutrition, business, and psychology of training individuals and athletes.
Kathryn thoroughly enjoys learning about the science of the human body, its adaptability, and limits; but the real payoff is putting those principles into practice to improve people’s lives.
