Established in 2008.

Tree Patrol Services was founded in 2008 with the purpose of providing a high quality tree services at a fair price thus helping you improve your environment.

The trees on your property are a large part of what makes your home and increases your home property value. We work with you to help you achieve your purposes and goals in regards to your property. Just as a tree will start small and grow into something large, we want our business relationship with you to expand into a group activity that helps you create a safe and aesthetic environment.

Rodrigo’s interest in the maintenance and care of trees started at an early age in his father’s orchards. In 2007 after working for a tree trimming company, where he gained more practical experience and skills, he decided to start his own company and help others improve their environment. Rodrigo and his company provide high quality tree services at a fair price with the sole purpose of helping you increase the aesthetic look and value of your property. He believes that one should never stop learning and is currently working on obtaining his certification from the International Society of Arboriculture.

Austin Tree Patrol Services came out to trim our overgrown clumping bamboo and remove & kill some running bamboo in a different part of the yard. Although they did not show up the first time we scheduled, they came the very next day for an estimate and offered to have a crew come and start immediately, which they did. All of them were hard working, polite, knowledgeable and efficient. We didn’t realize how overgrown the bamboo was until they trimmed it back and now we wish we had done it sooner — it looks very manicured and healthy. As for the running bamboo, they had to remove some river rocks in order to dig the roots out and then treat the ground with a chemical to prevent further growth. It remains to be seen if bamboo will regrow, but hopefully not! I would definitely recommend them to anyone needing similar service.

We have a NO SOLICITATION notice on our door. Just walked out and found your flyer tossed onto the porch along with several other flyers. No solicitation means no solicitation. Please teach the people that you hire to not leave these papers on the porch if there is such a notice. If we ever require such a service as yours we would not use it for this simple reason.

Rodrigo and his team did an excellent and thorough job with trimming and caring for the trees on my property, both for the health of my trees and the safety of my home (several thick branches hanging directly over my roof). Everything was executed flawlessly, from his response time in the initial contact to the «we will be there when we say we will», the accurate estimate, the quality work and great job with the clean up, and the follow-​up. When I wasn’t able to meet him for the initial inspection he sent me detailed info. and photos describing the issue with my trees included with his price quote. Then on the day of the work, he walked me around my property and provided details regarding the plan for each tree. I would not hesitate to use him again in the future.

As an out of state landlord, I hired Austin Tree Patrol to remove the shrubs around my rental house and grind a stump out of the front lawn prior to painting. Rodrigo was fast, professional, and provided me with excellent communication. He even took a video and sent it to me to show that the work had been accomplished. Austin Tree Patrol Services did a fantastic job trimming our trees. They were courteous, they were respectful of our property and our wishes as far as aesthetics in trimming our trees, and they provided this wonderful service at a very competitive price. They did exactly what we asked of them, and didn’t try to upsell. And when I asked how often they needed to return, they didn’t try to get an annual inspection fee. Rodrigo gave me a range of 3 – 5 years for maintenance trimming, based on rainfall and other factors. He also gave me lots of tips for keeping my trees healthy. We will use Austin Tree Patrol Services for all of our tree trimming and removal needs.

The crew removed a huge and dangerous pecan limb hanging over our house. They did such a quick, neat and professional job. We had them return to trim and prune the rest of our trees. I highly recommend this company.

Called three companies and Rodrigo was the only one to return the call. He came in the next day, gave a very good estimate and did a superb job with his crew at trimming several trees and removing one completely. They worked all morning, did a great job (can’t say enough!), made sure everything was cleaned before they left. If you need your trees trimmed or cut (they do other stuff too), don’t look any further than Tree Patrol Services. Rodrigo and his crew will take care of you.

These guys are pretty awesome. I came home from a camping trip to find that two very large (50′) pecan trees had been partially uprooted and were leaning right over my house. What was worse was that this was Memorial Day 2015, and the giant storm was on its way that very afternoon, so the trees needed to come down ASAP. I called around, and Tree Patrol actually came out that day, within two hours, and took care of the problem. They were up there working right up until the storm really started blowing, working in the rain! You can’t get much better service than that.

I have used Rodrigo twice over the past 4 years to trim up my heavily treed lot. He always shows up at the appointment time, is very easy to deal with and does a great job of cleaning up the work site when his team is finished. I find his prices reasonable and his work very thorough. I will never attempt to trim my trees again myself.

I cannot say enough good things about Rodrigo. I’ll try to hit the highlights:
I contacted him on a Thursday morning after reading all the great reviews on Unilocal.He came out the same day to give us an estimate.
He and his crew showed up the next day. Someone had planted bamboo on the outside of our backyard fence sometime before we had bought the place. It had spread throughout our whole backyard and looked like a jungle.
Rodrigo and his crew made quick and complete work of it. When I came home from work, we had a completely new backyard. Not only did they cut it all down, they removed it as well (something that not all tradesmen are willing to do, I’m learning).
In addition, they cut down a boxwood tree for us, and trimmed one of our trees out front. Both jobs made such a difference for our property.
He gave us a fair price, and he was incredibly cordial. I will spread the words to all my friends, if they need tree work, contact Rodrigo.
I will also contact him with any future tree concerns we have.

Rodrigo is amazing from a stand point of customer service and delivery of a spot on work product. He keeps you posted should he be unavoidably running late due to rain or other unforeseen circumstance. He checks back in to make sure the job was done to your satisfaction and he is very much price reasonable. He is a super nice man and I would choose to do business with him anytime. They removed one tree for me and stump grinded two stumps. I cannot tell they were even there as everything was left in pristine condition. Thank you Rodrigo!!!

I am extremely satisfied with the work that Austin Tree Patrol Service did for us in removing a large tree and grinding the stump in our yard. Rodrigo and his crew are so nice to work with. My husband and I met Rodrigo a few days ago. We both happened to have a day off from work at the same time and were sitting in the front yard enjoying the nice weather. Rodrigo came up to leave us a card describing his services. We were just talking about having our live oak trees cut back and so we asked for a quote on the spot. We got a very reasonable quote so we agreed to have the work done by Rodrigo and his crew and they were able to do the work within a few days. The trees look great, and Rodrigo offered to trim some of the overgrown bushes in the front complimentary. They did a fantastic job cleaning up also. I would highly recommend.

Rodrigo, of Austin Tree Patrol, is totally professional, knowledgeable and artistic. He really understands the ART of trimming trees. He trimmed the trees in my back yard about 15 months ago and I was so pleased with his artistic work that I asked him to come back and deal with the trees in my front yard.
His original estimate included two 60 foot tall red oak trees which were suffocating the possibility of a lawn with constant shade and NO sunlight. He trimmed THREE red oak trees and another smaller front yard tree with no extra charge. The trees look beautiful and have changed the entire feeling of the front of my home. NOW, I can install new turf grass.
I was so pleased that I engaged Rodrigo to create a planter around the three red oak trees and other bushes. He brought treated logs which he had made himself and built a BEAUTIFUL planter. There was some mulch left over from the original three yards which he spread around two other trees in my yard.
In each case he did MORE than the estimate with great artistry! Rodrigo and one assistant trimmed the three 60 foot high red oaks and another smaller tree in two days. The planter took a matter of maybe 5 hours. They cleaned up beautifully and were a real pleasure to have at our home.
I recommend Rodrigo and his Austin Tree Patrol in the highest possible manner with no reservations!

I emailed Rodrigo Sunday night, got a call on Monday, and they were at my house for the appointment Tuesday morning. The estimate quoted was very fair and included hauling — and they had the work done right then within an hour. They were kind and professional. I’ve already given them a list of other things to provide quotes for.
