Woooooo!!! Talk about a great place to record a new album! We recently had the pleasure of recording at Austin Signal. Tucked away in the Hill Country, they are just a hop skip and a jump from downtown. The studio itself is set back from Jon the owners home. Jon and his Engineer Alex were both very professional. We felt at home as soon as we walked into the facilities. They have a lounge area outside the mixing room and the sound room. You can also chill on the outside covered patio if you need a smoke break. One of the great things about Austin Signal is that they cut vinyl as well! That’s right, I said VINYL! Hand cut in Austin Texas. What? What!!! They offer 12″, 10″, and 7″. I would suggest calling for more details. Make sure to check out their website to get a better idea of the space itself and what you can expect. They give you a breakdown of the equipment they have in the studio. They have a kitchen and always have fresh Ruta Maya coffee brewing. Feel free to bring your own food and libations for those long days. Our experience with Jon and his studio was more than we could have asked for. Mr. Smidgens highly recommends Austin Signal.
