Austin Gold Exchange

I had a ring to sell and I’d been monitoring gold prices since late spring to make sure I got as much as I could for it. When I saw last week that gold was on a steady climb, I decided my ring’s time had come. I took it to that skeezy place staffed by a bunch of greasy hair on Congress, a pawn shop on First, and Austin Gold Exchange. The other two offered me less than HALF what Austin Gold Exchange offered. Not only that, but he rounded the price up $ 2 to make it an even $ 100. When I mentioned the price to him, he sounded surprised at the huge discrepancy but said they’re a small family operation with low overhead. Don’t know what would count as «overhead» for a gold shop, but kudos to them for keeping prices low enough to make me want to sell them more gold. If only I had more to sell.

I took some jewelry to 3 places. Austin Gold Exchange on Ben White paid the most by far, and very patiently explained every step of their evaluation. They were terrific and I wouldn’t hesitate to go back.
