I liked the staff, and the overall setup of the clinic. Nothing much to complain really.
I had a chipped tooth, and they detected the problem fairly quickly and proceeded with the filling right away. I was done with the whole procedure — problem detection and resolution within a space of two hours.

I’ve been seeing Dr. Cook since he took over from my previous dentist at this location when he retired. Having had the same dentist since 1984, I was concerned about the transition. But everything’s been great. Highly recommended.

I put my nervousness level down as an ⁸⁄₁₀ and I was probably exaggerating just a tad. All the same, every single person I had contact with was extremely professional and caring. I felt as though they took extra care to ensure I was completely comfortable. I felt at ease almost immediately. I know going to the dentist is not the WORST experience you can endure but it’s certainly not at the top of my priority list on my days off. Dr Cook (senior) did my exam. He was as gentle as possible. Very easy to talk with AND relatable. At the end, they did their best to accommodate my night shift schedule for my cleaning. Which I always appreciate. Overall, I was very pleased with Austin City Dental. The office, the exam rooms, the staff, and the doc were all phenomenal. And I got a sweet welcome kit for being a new patient!

I highly recommend the staff and dentists at Austin City Dental. The staff was warm and welcoming and even solved an insurance coverage question my former dentist could not solve. Dr. Cook was gentle and patient and explained everything about my need for a crown in complete detail.

I had a routine cleaning with Martina and zoom whitening with Pinky and Jennifer. This office is the best in Austin. For those that have not been to Dr. Cook, he is laid back, thoughtful, an excellent listener and when he examines you has all the time in the world to field your questions and listen to your concerns. I am very happy visiting this office. My wife and son all go to Dr. Cook too.

I like Austin City Dental and am a patient of the senior Dr. Cook there. I think everything worked out okay yesterday. I do have one tooth I had thought would be addressed which wasn’t. I’m sure there is an explanation but I would have appreciated having had Dr. Cook discuss it with me which he for some reason did not do.
I especially appreciate the efficiency with which ACD deals with insurance matters. There is never a question as to how much one owes ACD.

I had tooth sensitivity and was looking for a dentist on Unilocal where I found Austin City Dental. As soon as I walked in the door I noticed that the facilities were aesthetically pleasing and very clean. The staff were hospitable and went the extra mile to make sure that I was comfortable. Dr. Cook informed me that my wisdom tooth was the cause of my pain and recommended that I get the tooth removed. Dr. Cook’s expertise was apparent as he removed my tooth with little to no discomfort and I felt will enough to go to work an hour after the procedure was complete. I was so impressed by Dr. Cook and his staff that I recommended Austin City Dental to my wife for her dental needs.

I found Dr. Cook to be very professional with the latest equipment. Another dentist said my daughter had three cavities which was a bit suspicious. I took her to Dr. Cook’s retro 70’s glass bubble office. Pretty cool space it’s very open and airy which takes the sting off the visit a bit. Well she ended up having only one cavity saving us over $ 400 over the other unethical dentist. He told us on the screen exactly which tooth was suspect with a clear long term plan. He was honest and forthcoming in his practice.

Best dentist in Austin! Dr. Cook and his entire staff do it right. You’ll feel like family, get superior customer service and experience the quality and care in their work and services. My kids were patients here for about 7 years and although we always liked the hygienist and had good experiences with Dr. Cook, last week I had a really unpleasant experience with a person in the front office. A gal who I had NEVER met before pulled me aside to discuss my daughter’s treatment plan and told me that if I didn’t agree with what she was telling me to do «I should see a different dentist». The gal also said she would have the dentist call me, which never happened. It is unfortunate but I guess 7 years of patronage doesn’t mean much these days.

I have to say I am dissapointed that you haven’t called me. As I left your office your gal agreed that she would have you call me, but I have never heard from you until now. But I guess I do understand why you are responding publicaly at this point.
I don’t know how you feel when someone you have NEVER met before basically tells you to take your business elsewhere, but it was unpleasant for me. And I felt if my business is not welcomed, I should take it elsewhere. I was given the option of talking to you after your gal told me I should find another dentist and didn’t really want to stay and be humiliated further.
In addition If your gal had allowed me to finish, my daughter had many xrays this summer when she had her wisdom teeth removed (6 months ago). My family takes excellent care of their teeth and does do X-​rays as recommended. My daughter has never had a cavity and I familiar with both the reasons why xrays are needed and agree to have have them most of the time. I do not need to be insulted by having this explained yet again. You are simply missing the point or have had the facts incorrectly relayed to you. My recommendation for you is to personally take on the task of discussing treatment with your patients and work with your office staff on communication and listening skills. It is not for the quality of the dental care that I am leaving your office but the disrespectful customer service.

I never would have thought I would look forward to a dentist appointment until my experience at Austin City Dental! Dr. Steven Cook and his entire staff here really go above and beyond, providing both exceptional customer service and exceptional quality of work. In the past, I have had nothing but terrible experiences at the dentist, and I was very hesitant (borderline terrified) to go back. Dr. Cook and his team walked me through every step of my recommended treatment plan, from procedure to payment, and made sure I felt comfortable with each process. I still have a few more appointments at their office, but I know I am in good hands with Austin City Dental.

This is by far the best dental experience I’ve had in Austin. The staff was super nice and made me very comfortable. I would recommend them in to anyone looking for quality dental care!

The hygienists here are the best! I always enjoy getting my teeth cleaned and polished! Dr. Cook did such a thorough exam also. Makes me more comfortable to know that my teeth are being cared for correctly! So far, no cavities! Yea!

I received great care! I needed a referral for a specialist, and crowns from ACD. The staff is kind and professional.

I couldn’t have been happier with the office! They responded quickly to the after-​hours voicemail I left, fit me in at a convenient time within 24 hours, and provided a great service while I was in the office. I’ll be going back to see Dr. Cook next time for sure.

I LOVE this practice. Dr. Cook came highly recommended to me by my neighbor (who happens to be an oral surgeon.) Now, my dad goes to him also. Dr. Cook is so hands-​on and available! If I need to speak with him, he calls me right away. In my entire life (until now, of course) I have never had such a responsive, caring Dentist. Truly a wonderful experience.

The best dentist I’ve ever been to. Dr Cook is professional, attentive and detail oriented. Everyone from the appointment takers to the dental assistants are genuinely nice, hard working people. When we pay out of pocket, the rates are very competitive, very reasonable.

Dr. Cook and his staff are fantastic! The office itself is clean and welcoming, and each exam room has a lovely view. The staff are exceptionally friendly, skilled, and organized. The whole place is just a well-​oiled machine and I am happy to recommend them to everyone I know.

So pleased with Dr. Cook and his team! I had a dental emergency with a cracked tooth. They got me in within 24 hours and had my tooth fixed within the hour! This was my first visit to their office and everyone was so pleasant and nice, completely professional. I am officially making Dr. Cook at Austin City Dental my go-​to dentist! I have already referred two family members to their office and will plan on referring more in the future.
