Updated 3÷2÷16 Needed to update this initial review as the owner, Andrea, sent me a very heartfelt apology, explanation and made a real effort to make things right. Every business and ever person has times when everything goes wrong at once. How we handle those situations shows our character, and Andrea showed that well. I feel very confident that they have learned from this situation, look forward to renting from them in the future and wish them well in this venture.

I am great appreciative of straight-shooters, especially when doing business with someone for the first time. I contacted Skip based on reviews here(and reading some fairly bad ones about his competitors). Immediately, I knew I called the right person to rent a camper. From the reservation process, to camper pick-up and drop-off, and any communication in between, Skip was very clear on what to expect, and what not to expect. His walk-through of the set-up and take-down process during pick-up showed his care for his campers, and the desire for his customers to have the best time possible. Between the time I made a reservation and actually picked up the camper, Skip called to check in and give updates and information to make sure we were completely prepared for our trip. My wife and I are considering purchasing our own pop-up, and Skip took the time to explain benefits of owning vs. renting, as well as what to expect for camper ownership. As I left, I thanked Skip for all his help, and he replied with«Tell your friends!» So, friends, I’m gladly doing my part.

We just rented a 10′ popup camper for a weekend at Garner State Park. I have friends and family members that own popup campers. This was my first time using one. Skip was genuinely helpful with everything regarding my rental. He showed me how to setup and take down the camper, and he gave me easy to follow instructions. The camper was a 2013 Rockwood camper and it was like new, clean and in fine working condition. I gladly recommend Skip to anyone and I will use him again for my camper rental needs.

If you’ve ever wondered what camping with a pop up is like, this is the place to start. Skip is incredibly helpful and he will take the time to make sure you understand everything about his campers in addition to giving you a pretty solid step-by-step checklist for setting up and breaking down. Skip didn’t have the smaller camper we called about so he just let us take the larger size for the same price. Can’t ask for better customer service than you’ll get here. Also, I didn’t have a tow hitch and Skip just let me use one of his, no charge and no problem. He’s that kind of guy, no nickle and diming people here and I appreciate that. My only suggestion is to be sure to bring a broom so you can sweep the camper out if you need it(or if Skip reads this, maybe he’ll start keeping them in his campers.). We really could have used one. Great experience!
