I purchased a Living Social Deal for this. No one showed and no one called when they were supposed to come. 3 times! When they finally did come, they did a terrible job– they did not even dust my mantle or the second shelf of my coffee table. I called to complain and they offered a free cleaning which I took them up on. Now it has been 3 times again that they have not showed up and not called. I seriously do not know how they stay in business but PLEASE don’t use these people unless you really don’t care if they ever come to clean your house and you have nothing better to do than wait for someone that never comes.

Horrible!!! No-​show twice and they dare to tell me that they’re no longer accepting the Living social voucher I have purchased earlier this year after they did not show up TWICE to my house and lied about trying to contact me but was unsuccessful. They did not even know my phone number when I asked!
I have an appointment scheduled on ⁷⁄₁₆. One hour later and no one showed up and the vendor made an excuse saying that the maid who was supposed to clean my house was no longer with them and didn’t even bother letting me know ahead of time and I took the time away from work and have waited 1 hour. I was then rescheduled to ⁸⁄₂₇ and the vendor also promised me another free service of 3 hour cleaning to make up for the first missed appointment.
On 8/​26, I sent an email to confirm that they’re coming the next day and the vendor stated that the maid who was supposed to come to my house had a car issue and that she has tried to contact me with no success. I asked her which phone number she called but she couldn’t answer. I then provided the vendor with my phone number and have asked her to call me ASAP so we can settle all these issues and inconvenience. She has ignored all my emails for the next 12 days until an email came in today stating that they have tried to contact me but was unsuccessful and that they’re no longer accepting livingsocial vouchers and that I should contact Living Social’s customer service.
This is the worst customer experience I have ever had and I have never experienced so many angst dealing with a vendor who lied, couldn’t keep their promises and took my money without rendering services as promised. Not only that I will leave negative feedback on every site that I can find about this vendor, I’m also going to file a complaint against BBB.
DO NOT USE THIS VENDOR EVER! RUN AWAY!

This review is not about the cleaning service we received but the customer service at AYS, which was simply terrible.
We purchased a LivingSocial voucher early this year. We scheduled an appointment for March 21, two days (!) before we were to have a wedding at our house. They called at 10pm on the night of March 20 to inform us that they needed to reschedule to March 26. We ended up having to clean the house ourselves the day before our wedding, which was not a welcome addition to our already packed schedule.
The second appointment was also rescheduled, and this time they offered us a free service, by way of apology, which we could use at a later date.
We were given an appointment of 3 hours, from 2−5pm. I expected at least two cleaners to show up (our house is 2000+ sf), but it was only one person, and she was brand new to AYS — we were her first job. We also found out that AYS had booked her for another location at 5pm, and that location was 30 minutes away. She did an ok job of cleaning, but she was definitely rushing at the end and I’m sure she was late to her next appointment. For her sake, I hope she’s found a new employer by now.
Finally, a few weeks ago I emailed AYS to schedule our free service. I didn’t get any reply so emailed again today, nearly 3 weeks later, to follow up. They replied that my offer was only good for 2 months, and had expired. Their note seemed to suggest that I had waited way too long and was trying to somehow take advantage. There was nothing in any of our communications or anywhere else about a 2 month period of validity, and given the reason for the offer I was shocked to get that response. I replied and challenged their claim of a 2-​month expiration, but I doubt I’ll hear back from them again. Whatever professionalism they once had is long gone.

Gave this as a gift to a friend. She made several appointments over the last several months — all were rescheduled at the last minute at times not convenient for my friend. I hope Living Social and/​or Groupon cease to promote them.

I would love to give negative stars if I could. No one answers the phone. It takes 5 days for them to respond on email. This is the first time a company has blatantly stunk so bad that I’m taking the time to write a review. I have much better things to do .
After finally communicating with me they were supposed to schedule a visit and never responded back to me. My living social voucher then expired and they told me I could pay full price if I wanted service .
I even told them they had a chance to redeem themselves and put the costumer first. I let then know I would give them horrible reviews if they didn’t do the right thing. I don’t think they really care .
Hopefully if your reading this, you did not purchase anything on living social from them. I feel like I’ve been robbed !!!

Why, oh why, did I not read these reviews before I bought a Living Social coupon for a 3-​hour cleaning from AYS? I bought it in February, good until mid-​June. I called to make the appointment, and the automated message said I had to send an email, which I did — no response. After a couple of emails and voice messages, and a request to Living Social to cancel and return my money (nope), they finally scheduled me for June 25 (agreed to honor the coupon past the ⁶⁄₁₅ deadline). Then they called on June 24 to say there had been a computer problem and they could not come on June 24, so they rescheduled me for today, July 8. About noon on Friday, July 5, they called to say they had an opening at 4 pm that day if I wanted it instead of today — not possible for me.
So today was my appointment, scheduled for noon. She called about 11:40 to say she was on her way. I called her at 12:40 to see if she was lost, and she said she had been but would be here in about 10 minutes. She got here about 1:00, but did stay for the full 3 hours (or almost). She forgot her mop and had to use ours, and the only cleaning product she brought seemed to be Pine Sol. She asked if it was ok to use on our hardwood floors, and we looked it up and it seemed to be ok. I left for lunch and when I returned, my floors were SOAKED — yikes! She was pleasant enough and really trying hard, but just didn’t seem to know what she was doing. The floors (wood and tile) have footprints all over them now, and the countertops seem to be a bit gritty. But the worst was that after she left I discovered that she had messed up our tv controls — knocked a door off one component (I finally got it back on — wish she had told me), and tried EVERYTHING to get the remote to work, to no avail. I had to reboot the satellite and unplug the tv and finally resorted to a remote from the other room. I had to complete a survey with her standing there, and I didn’t have the heart to give her poor marks (after her sad story about having 2 babies and being up all night with one of them) — I even tipped her generously. Guess I am a sucker.
Oh — they also talked me into 3 MORE «cheap» cleanings throughout the year, and said I would get $ 100 off my next «full service» appointment because of the re-​schedule. I don’t know what that means, but I am definitely going to try to get my money back for the 3 cleanings I have paid for in advance. Their regular service doesn’t even include showers, tubs, baseboards, ceiling fans, or the inside of microwaves or ovens — HUH?

They booked me a month out for an 8AM appointment and then no-​showed. At 8:45 I received a call that the cleaner’s car had broken down. No explanation as to why they didn’t know at 7:45 why the car had broken down…

Do yourself a favor and read these reviews before you purchase. I just went through the exact same thing as everyone else. I scheduled an appointment for tomorrow weeks ago. I spent a long amount of time on the phone answering questions and gave them a credit card number. They called me today to «schedule an appointment» and try to sell me a million different upgrades. When I said I already had an appointment, they basically accused me of lying, and said no appointment was ever made. «Management» was even more rude, complaining about how many Living Social deals have been purchased. A customer is a customer and it was their choice to run a deal. I don’t blame Living Social, but if they run this deal again, I’d keep these reviews in mind.

After reading the only reviews on here (eight 1-​star reviews), I was 100% sure AYS would not show up. I was prepared to call Living Social to skip straight to the refund after waiting months to redeem this voucher due to their availability. However at 7:16 AM, Carina called me on my cell phone to let me know that she was on her way for my 8:00 AM appointment. Hmm… strange I thought, maybe they do exist? I had almost prepared to sleep in. When I booked my appointment, I had upgraded to a more intense package which included the inside of my fridge so I hopped out of bed, and started packing the contents of my fridge into a cooler. I met her outside and helped her carry up supplies since I was already outside.
Once in my condo, she gave me a quick run down of what she would be doing and asked where to start. She speaks perfect English, being American (what a relief, my other Groupons/​Living Social deals sent people who did not and it caused major communication errors) and was super sweet and friendly. She was relatively thorough and was happy to redo any areas that I asked her to (I’m an neat freak). She also took her time with things. Normally cleaning companies, send a caravan of girls who don’t understand me, chat on their cell phones, and leave before I can even really take a look at what was missed. I wouldn’t say she’s some sort of cleaning perfectionist but was her level of service was completely on par with my expectations for a Living Social deal.
Turns out she’s only been with the company a week so maybe, they’re starting to get better people. She also told me she chose AYS Housekeeping over other cleaning service job offers because they pay better. I do like the idea of her getting compensated appropriately for her hard work so maybe AYS has at least something figured out. She told the AYS company is new to Austin but that they are an established company in other locations.
Just thought to do my duty and share a pleasant experience since it is different from what others have experienced. I have no idea why or how I won the AYS lottery but hopefully, it’s a trend that will continue for others. Only time will tell!

AYS is a scam. I have done a lot of good business with LivingSocial and they are not a part of this scam. I also got an e-​mail stating that Ms Mededith slipped and they needed to reschedule. I have called AYS and e-​mailed them with no response. I have contacted Living Social and they are going to handle the problem. I am not the type of person to do this too. I will spend thousands of dollars to make them go out of business over this. If I can find where they have co-​mingled funds between the owners and the company, I’ll own their house.
The DA should be involved.

Fraudulent and Terrible! Just get your refund, we scheduled an appt, they emailed at 6:30 am saying they wouldn’t be able to make their 8 am appt. we called several times and emailed, finally called back and rescheduled 2 weeks later. They called at 7:30 saying they would not make it again, again cancelled! Rescheduled for the following weekend at 8 am, it is now 8:30 am, no call, no email, can not reach company. Terrible, just terrible.

I purchased the living social deal in March. After months of trying to schedule with them I finally got an appointment which they canceled with short notice. I was able to get a refund in «Deal bucks» from Living social.
AYS has the WORST customer service I have ever experienced.

TERRIBLE!!! This company deserves NO STARS! I bought a Living Social deal for a 3 hour housecleaning. A treat for myself for my birthday. They cancelled the first appointment via email because «Ms. Meredith slipped and sustained an injury», Well, i rescheduled for an 8AM appointment the following week. After 10pm the night before the appointment I received an email to cancel the re-​scheduled cleaning because «Ms. Meredith slipped…» What??? They used the same f-​ing excuse!!!
I emailed them and they didn’t call me back, just emailed me the times they had available to re-​schedule AGAIN! UGH! This company SUCKS! Before I setup the first appointment I even purchased an upgrade for $ 60+ to have a deluxe cleaning done (baseboards, microwave, fans, etc) and I better get a refund!

Awful! Scheduling was a nightmare! Long, annoying voicemail. Same as other reviewers. When I finally was able to secure an appt, I got a call back saying that I was outside of service area. I live in Round Rock. The deal was for my area! Also, my house was too big. Ok, I said, clean only one level. Sorry, no can do. Ok, I will gift this voucher to a friend. Lady hung up!!! Still trying to get my refund.

Canceled the night before they were to arrive by e-​mail, not even a phone call, said I could reschedule in two weeks. STAY AWAY — do not trust this company

I sure wish I could have had the knowledge of the other review on here before we bought the same deal a couple months back on living social and have now gone through the same exact issue of last minute cancellation via email. This time at 1 am the day of service, with guest arriving tomorrow. I had booked this appointment over a month ago, and now am left scrambling to find a replacement.
They also go by AYS cleaning, so I will try to get this in the search fields in order to save others the hassles that we are dealing with.

If I could give zero stars I would. I purchased a Living Social deal for this company — 3 hours for $ 59. When I called to schedule an appt. their very long voice mail tells you that you have to email them and they will call back to schedule. Ok, fine. It took a couple of days to hear back. I was told that if I wanted my baseboards and inside of my microwave cleaned I would have to purchase an upgrade for $ 55. No thanks — that should be standard. I was also told I lived outside of the service area so I’d have to pay an additional $ 15. I thought it was strange because I live in the Jester area, not exactly out in the Hills.
The day before my cleaning date I received a call that they didn’t have anyone available to clean my home and needed to reschedule me. I wasn’t thrilled but I rescheduled for the following week. I told them it was important that they show up on the rescheduled date because I was having house guests arriving two days after the cleaning. They assured me the cleaners would be here.
Well, the time came and went and no one showed up. There is no way to contact a live person with this company so I sent an email. About an hour later someone called and said that I was not on the schedule at all for cleaning. I was furious and told her this was the second time I had booked an appt and no one showed up. She told me I would need to prove it by sending a copy of the confirmation email. What confirmation email? I didn’t receive one. She told me that proved I didn’t have an appointment. Now I’m really confused. Whoever called to tell me they couldn’t make my first appointment neglected to do her job again by not sending me a confirmation and somehow this is my fault?!
I just found a similar review from someone in Ft. Worth who had a similar review. Don’t do business with this horrible company.
