My podiatrist referred me to Applied Orthotics after diagnosing my foot problems. When I made my first appointment to get my impressions made the lady at the front desk asked about insurance, she checked and said my insurance would not cover them and told me the amount I would need to pay. I made the appointment, showed up and had the impressions made. Malcolm was friendly and helpful and explained everything to me. I did need to go back a few weeks later for an adjustment to one of the orthotics after getting them broken in; the adjustment was done while I waited and at no charge. Everyone at the office was professional and courteous. The office and restrooms are immaculately clean, always a sign of a well-run business. I highly recommend Applied Orthotics.

I had gone to get my orthotics adjusted. I had an RX from my doctor who when he wrote the RX told me there would be no charge. I arrive give them my RX was taken back to the room the orthopodist came it, was kind of curt I figured he was in a bad mood and let it go. He left, I sat in the office for 40 minutes he came back and handed me my orthotics. Never asked me to try them in got frustrated with me when I was trying to put them in my shoe, never ask me to walk on them. You would think since it was an adjustment he would want me to try them. Nope. I stopped at front desk on way out and they told me it would be $ 140. I said I was told no charge. The orthopodist said who said that and I said my doctor. He said well hes wrong. I asked them to file with my insurance, they asked for my card I said you should have it in my chart, they said they couldnt find it, then said our office manager has your chart at home. I said that is a major Hipaa violation snd the young girl goes whats the big deal only the OM and orthopodist sees it. I left after again saying I would pay my bill when I get a denial from my insurance snd after I talk to my doctor. A couple days later I get a nasty voice message demanding payment. I called back and was very upset and again asked them to file with insurance. I got a call today from the OM who started to be condescending and said let me finish because I dont want to be here all night. I ask her if she was aware of the young girl being snotty with me and she informed me I was lying since that was her daughter. She then proceeded to lambast me and said they would no longer see me as a patient. WOW is all I have to say. I get upset because I was told there would be no charge and you tell me its $ 140.00 and you release me? They should have called my doctor first and foremost and you should have explained there was an additional charge before you did the work not after. No worries I wasnt going back there anyways. So tired of unprofessional blame everyone elses attitudes.

Great service and offered a lot of great advice. The front staff was very friendly and Malcom Slade was awesome. They were always running on time and I would highly recommend.

Went there this morning for an adjustment to an orthotic made by a different Doc — it had been making walking very painful — App Ortho made an adjustment quickly [and for $ 25] and I’ve been walking without pain all day — even made it to the gym for a workout. Love this company!!!

I went back there for myself(not my daughter this time). They continue to be competent, friendly, gracious, informed, and helpful. How nice it is to give my money(even though these orthotic things DO cost a pretty penny; what up, BCBS?) to folks who know how to treat customers and know how to run a business.
