History

Established in 2013.

A former sound engineer, Adam Przybyla began tuning and servicing pianos as a means of putting his acute sense of hearing and knack for fixing things to use in a way that didn’t involve long, late nights in loud venues. After formally studying the craft at the renowned Chicago School For Piano Technology, he eventually decided that a change of scenery was in order, which led him to move and set up shop here in Austin.

Getting a piano tuned at your home can be a nervous event, inviting a stranger into your house for a few hours. However, Adam was in-​out and there was never an awkward moment. He was focused on tuning the whole time and I got an honest sense about him. For not knowing anything about pianos, he could have charged me the estimated $ 145 I agreed to pay, but didn’t because he said it wasn’t as much work as he originally predicted. He was also able to offer some basic knowledge about my piano and didn’t push any sales on my broken keys, if anything he gave it to me straight about the potential of my piano. Good honest service, my Bradbury sounds great!

We recently purchased a 1940s piano and contacted AP Piano to inquire about tuning after a recommendation from Owen’s Music in Bastrop.
