Alex Hart Brow Artistry

Alex did an AMAZING job! I’ve been to a bunch of different waxing places, but she actually takes time out to figure out what’s going to look best for you. I got mine done by her a few weeks ago and am STILL getting complements on how awesome they look!

I have had my brows done at Anastasia in Nordstrom’s several times and was very happy with their service and quality. Being from Los Angeles, I was a client of the original brow bar in Beverly Hills. However, I tried to make an appointment there last week and they no longer had a brow technician on staff.
I read reviews on Unilocal about Alex and how great she was and she used to work for Anastasia so I thought I would give her a shot.
I was called the morning of my appointment and told that Alex was running late from a wedding she was attending and could I reschedule for the following day, which was fine. Alex was 10 minutes late for my appointment the next day and I was really upset when I left and got a closer look in my magnified mirror at home.
Before my appointment I had very long perfectly shaped brows and just needed them cleaned up and she cut the tail end off way too short (way before the edge of where my brow bone ends at the corner of my eye). And I somehow lost my brow arch.
I am hoping they grow back to the shape that they have always been! I expected her technique to be the same as Anastasia and was disappointed that they now have an entirely different shape and have also lost their great arch.
At least I got to try her out using a Groupon special but would rather have paid full price for the look I was hoping for.
Guess I will have to wait for Nordstrom to find a new Anastasia brow expert!

BEST BROWS IN AUSTIN! Alex is amazing. She transformed my brows from over-​plucked, over-​arched messes to beautifully-​groomed natural brows. I will not let anyone else touch them besides her. Her attention to detail cannot be matched. She once told me to look at your brow artist’s own eyebrows as an indication of how yours will turn out. That is probably the wisest advice I’ve ever heard, and so true. I cannot thank her enough, seriously.

I had been used to getting my eyebrows waxed at my manicurist’s place, because it’s cheap and I get both things done at the same time. Not because they do a good job. I went to see Alex a few months ago and I am totally hooked! She is so gentle, you literally can’t even feel it when she pulls off the strip. And she expertly shapes and contours your brow, as opposed to just slapping some wax where it looks like it should go. Highly recommend. It’s not that much more expensive either!
Alex is also a wonderful and hilarious person. She is awesome.
